Fox News host and Trump cheerleader Jeanine Pirro blew the “secret Muslim” dog whistle during an otherwise hilarious rant about the Obama administration opening up an investigation into Russia’s involvement with the presidential election.
She started off with this loony comment:
"Look, it’s time to take sides. The election is over. You’re either with us or against us. That is, with the United States or against The United States. We have a new president-elect. His name is Donald J. Trump."
Then came the childish name calling:
"So move over Barack, move over Hillary, Harry, Jill and all you namby-pamby, pathetic losers still crying in your grande, double-shot skinny lattes."
Next, Pirro pretended the county was united after Obama was elected in 2008:
"There was a time in this country when we united behind the flag in celebration of America’s new president. Our new leader: We all did so in 2008 when Barack Obama was elected. We had high hopes for a united country, irrespective of our politics. And it’s time for the left, assuming they’re capable, to show the same dignity and class to the 45th president-elect."
Yeah because every conservative showed dignity and class after Obama won in 2008 and 2012.
With a snarky tone, she added:
"But nooo! This week the president himself, Barack Obama, announces his intention to investigate whether Russia interfered with the presidential election. Assigning our intelligence agency to conclude the task before he leaves office.
Seriously? Why Now, Mr. President? You have been watching the release of information from WikiLeaks for months. You have watched the release of Hillary Clinton’s emails [and] John Podesta’s emails, and the disturbing information contained therein.
You’ve watched the double-talking, mainstream media outed for providing questions to your handpicked successor, Hillary Clinton, for months and you never say a word. But now it finally hits you that your successor of choice has not been elected.
Which you, yourself said would be a personal insult."
She continued whining:
"So you now decide it’s time to investigate and the suspect: Russia. Why are you talking about this now? You had a chance to put an end to the hacking, the breaching and the interference, assuming that it might impact the election, before the election."
Pirro then parroted the same talking points used in a Trump press release about the investigation.
The Trump campaign had said, “These are the same people that said Saddam Hussein had weapons of mass destruction. The election ended a long time ago in one of the biggest Electoral College victories in history. It’s now time to move on and Make America Great Again.”
Parrot Pirro said, “You’re going to investigate Russia using the same bozos, the ones who said Saddam Hussein had weapons of mass destruction. The same bozos who said that we’re defeating ISIS. The same intelligence geniuses who gave us the Benghazi BS. A politicized intelligence group."
Pirro went on to complain the investigation is only because Obama can’t accept Trump won:
"This isn’t about the election is it, Mr. President? This is about domestic politics. It’s not about November, 2016. It’s about January, 2017 and your attempt to prevent Donald Trump from the smooth transition of power and your inability to face the overwhelming electoral college win that the American people gave him."
Pirro even suggested Russia is being unfairly maligned - as she blew the "secret Muslim" dog whistle
"Why are you so obsessed with Russia? You, who cut a deal and were made a fool of by the world’s largest sponsor of terrorism, Iran. You know, the one that funds Hezbollah and Hamas and whose people yell ‘Death to America.’
[…]
But you’re obsessed with the Russian who at least is a Christian, who himself is obsessed with killing ISIS."
She ended the rant with more excuses for being friendly with Putin:
"I despise all dictators, but between the dictator that thinks I’m an infidel and therefore you and I and our families should have our heads cut off and the dictator from whom I simply want to keep my distance. Who now and then might warn me of our common enemy the choice is a no-brainer."

Mike Pence has in fact more power than any other VP in history, including Cheney. That was the deal in his accepting this position. Look at the Cabinet and at how many of them are his friends and cronies (not to mention Trump’s). Trump will make broad proclamations on Twitter and go to the rallies, but it’s Pence who will determine the policy on everything.
Buckle your seatbelt. This is going to be an extremely rough set of years coming up.
As a Hoosier, the more power Pinch has the more frightened I am. He tried his damnest to run the state like a religious tyrant, and failed miserably. But with the financial backing of the likes of the Kock boys he has more of a chance to implement his mega conservative agenda. He doesn’t accept the three divisions of government and will be meddling in the business of the SCOTUS and in Congress.
What does Iran have to do with Russian hacking? Nothing, Piro. This is just a broad rant ’n smear. A sort of propaganda shock ’n awe to fool the fanboys.
I’ll pause to interject I do agree with Piro on one key point. Obama did indeed drag his heels on an investigation. This should have been done months ago.
That said, whether secular former Communist Putin is a born again Christian or not there’s no test for entrance into the faith. Just self-declare regardless of behavior. Like killing journalists. Enriching oneself with graft. Rigging elections. So what kind of Christian is Putin really?
Piro claims Obama and the Democrats are being un-American partisans. Yet how partisan does one have to be to wallpaper over clear evidence of Russian interference into our election? What can be more un-American than fighting these efforts tooth ’n nail?
While it’s clear the Russian hacking had a huge influence on the election there’s no way to ever know if it changed the outcome. We do know Orange Hitler exploited it to the hilt because he was sure it was raising Hillary’s unfavorable. We also know nothing will change Orange Hitler taking the oath of office. So why is Piro panicking? Good ’ol partisan team sports.
Piro’s spin is one thing. Trying to sell it with a lie is another. Let’s rewrite history that Fox News ever accepted Obama as their president.
Another lie is Piro playing the ‘enemy of my enemy’ card. It’s been well documented in the news Putin’s agenda is not defeating ISIS but propping up Asad. To that end, he’s bombed to oblivion many rebel groups opposed to and fighting ISIS while, at the same time, often giving ISIS a pass if it fit his pro-Assad agenda. Because often the other rebel groups are more of a threat to Assad so letting ISIS survive and even thrive to kill them off is fine with Putin.
So here we have Piro waving the flag as she unwittingly supports efforts to keep our terrorist enemy ISIS alive. Seriously Fox?
And right off the bat, she throws in two of the red meat statements we’ve been accustomed to from wannabe Right Wing bullies for decades now – “You’re either with us or against us!” and “Democrats are all LOSERS!”
I’m particularly impressed with her brazen rewriting of history when it comes to the top of the Obama Administration in early 2009. I guess we’ll need to remind Pirro that it was the Right Wing, led by “happy warrior” Rush Limbaugh who started off 2009 by screaming “I HOPE HE FAILS!!!!” in abject rage. I guess we’ll need to remind Pirro that it was the GOP following Limbaugh’s lead who conspired to block EVERY SINGLE THING that Obama or the Dems did, in the hope that they would either render him useless or just make him miserable, and with the idea that they could campaign on Obama being a “failed president”. She can lie all she wants to about this, but history records otherwise.
And what do you know, Pirro is trying out the lie that Trump won some kind of fictional “overwhelming” victory last month. Sadly for her, nothing of the kind actually happened. Trump squeaked by in the swing states because a bunch of Dem voters didn’t show up at the polls – some because they thought Clinton had it in the bag, some because they’d bought into 25 years of Right Wing lies about the Clintons, and most because they were simply turned off by all the negativity and viciousness being spewed by Trump and the Right Wing over this whole campaign. The GOP trick of alienating the voters and reducing turnout definitely worked in their favor this year, and Dems will need to keep this in mind in future campaigns. Staying home in disgust simply is not an option – unless your intent is to let someone like Mike Pence completely obliterate our social contract.
