Donald Trump’s claim that Bill Clinton is a rapist got just the kind of response it deserved today. “I don’t hang out with rapists,” Democrat Julie Roginsky jabbed, noting that Trump hung out with the Clintons up until he decided to run for president.
Fox’s Outnumbered show replayed Trump’s accusation from last night’s Hannity interview and then got the totally balanced responses from two conservatives and one Democrat. That’s not including a supportive comment in a clip of Trump’s wannabe-VP, Newt Gingrich.
“Is it fair game” to go after Bill Clinton’s past, cohost Sandra Smith “asked.” Predictably, Tucker Carlson, the show’s #OneLuckyGuy thought so.
Roginsky had a great reply:
ROGINSKY: The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result. How’d it work out for you, Newt? How’d it work out for you in ’98 when you went after this the first time? You lost House seats.
Secondly, if Donald Trump really believes that Bill Clinton’s a rapist, and it sounds like he does, I don’t invite rapists to my wedding. I don’t hang out with rapists. I don’t socialize with them, I don’t golf with them. Donald Trump did all of this and recently – until he decided he was gonna run for president. So, you know, it’s one thing to say that you think Bill Clinton’s a rapist and he’s a despicable human being. It’s another to invite a rapist to your wedding and socialize with him and expect people to take you credibly.
And third of all, he also had a rape allegation against him. It’s by his ex-wife, Ivana, and so now she’s taking it back, and I know there’s a financial settlement, but when she filed legal papers, she accused him of being a rapist. He’s an imperfect messenger on this issue.
Roginsky went on to fend off counterarguments by cohost Meghan McCain and Carlson.
Watch her go, below, from the May 19 Outnumbered.
