Fox’s Outnumbered show celebrated Christmas with mean-spirited attacks on President Obama, without a single liberal on the five-person show.
All you had to do was listen to the snarky segment tease from cohost Harris Faulkner to know how this segment, which aired on Christmas day, was going to go.
FAULKNER: How do you all feel about duck? Do you like duck? Some people are having duck today. Not this kind. He may be a lame duck but the president has a lot he wants to do in his last year, so we’ve heard. Like closing Guantanamo Bay, executive action and guns and help out the Democratic presidential nominee whom we were just talking about, potentially could be Hillary Clinton. Will he fulfill the wish list that he has? Will Republicans try to counter him?
Cohost Andrea Tantaros, who once urged her radio show listeners to physically assault Obama supporters, opened the segment wishing everybody a Merry Christmas - then got right to the Obama bashing.
“Punch” Tantaros began by noting that the White House has said that President Obama’s final State of The Union Address will be “a non-traditional address, more of a conversation with the American people then policy pitches.”
She displayed a 2016 to-do list for Obama that included a visit to Cuba. Tantaros snarked, “And of course, a la Jay Z, visiting Cuba.”
Roger Ailes’ personal attorney and likely stand-in, Peter Johnson, Jr. sneered, “It’s gonna be non-traditional. It says it’s gonna be a conversation. Well, a conversation takes listening. So it will be non-traditional because he’s never listened to anything anyone said.”
That drew giggles off-camera. Somebody said, “True.”
Johnson went on to race bait Obama again over his NPR interview. “They said,'Well, there’s a lot of people who have problems with the change you brought about in America.' And so he went to the race card immediately and talked being the first African American President” On Fox, it’s A-OK to question Obama's citizenship but when he says that some attacks on him are racial, the “fair and balanced” network has a race-baiting fit.
Johnson continued, “I understand racism. I’ve seen it here in New York City in elected leaders.” Probably some of his best friends are black, too.
“For a guy who’s got his priorities so wrong, I want to hear what this conversation’s about. I think it’s gonna be one sided. He’s gonna be talking at us,” Johnson complained about the upcoming State of the Union.
Last time I checked that’s how a State of the Union works. The president speaks to us.
Tantaros said contemptuously, “It’s gonna be more of a man-in-the-mirror moment for the president. He doesn’t really care what anyone has to say. He doesn’t care whether they stand up and clap for him or not. And I don’t expect a change. I do expect though, we better buckle up this next year.”
Next up with the insults was Katie Pavlich. She began by wrongly claiming, “American people don’t want more gun control." She added, "For the first time ever in the history of the country, Americans believe that gun rights should be protected over more gun control at this point.”
Pavlich also whined that Americans don’t want GITMO closed and didn’t want the TPP passed. She forgot to mention all the things Americans approve of that Obama has done, such as opening relations with Cuba, the Iran nuclear deal and the climate change accord, e.g.
“You look at the list of things he’s making a priority in his last year as president of The United States and it’s all about Barack Obama and his progressive base. It has nothing to with listening to the majority of the American people in this country,” Pavlich falsely accused.
Nobody corrected her.
Instead, Faulkner complained that immigration is not on the list. “I mean it’s interesting," she said mildly. "Perhaps the president would have some difficulty having that mirror conversation. You’ve got Kate Steinle’s death in San Francisco, you’ve got the recent San Bernardino killers and they couldn’t even make it through her fiancé visa application apparently in vetting.” Faulkner also brought up the Syrian refugees. “I’d love to hear what the conversation on that would be. In fact, as citizens, can we add to his to-do list? Are we allowed to do that?”
Cohost Kennedy said she agrees with Obama on trade and criminal justice reform. But then came the requisite attack: “The rest of it is hogwash dipped in malarkey. I’m sorry to use such strong language on such a beautiful day. But this president is so off base, especially when it comes to things like gun control. People want to be safer, they wanna feel better. It’s all about his legacy. The Iran deal for him is his Middle East peace deal. You know, he couldn’t get the Palestinians and Israel together. This is his silver medal.”
That was still not enough Obama attacking, so Tantaros reiterated the Christmas-meal jibes: “Lame duck with weak sauce and hogwash dipped in malarkey.”
“And executive pen with potatoes. The executive pen shaped like real food, like a wedding cake,” Faulkner added.
Johnson said, “Elf on a shelf year for the president this year.”
Kennedy said, “His policies are mostly imaginary.”
What better way to spend a Christmas special than childishly attacking Obama? Such a nice way to remember what the Christmas season is all about.
But they were not done yet. Part two of this segment was filled with complaints about the economy. My gift to you on this holiday weekend is skipping a summary of that.
Watch this one below, from the December 24 Outnumbered.
That’s right, Junior. That includes listening on the part of the person(s) being talked to — including Fox.
Then again, I suppose it’s hard for Fox and their sheeple to actually listen to the President when they suffer from head-up-ass disease . . .
.
Outnumbered’s silly premise is that 1 guy is outnumbered by 4 gals. However, every time I’ve seen the show, it’s more than clear that it’s the liberal point of view that’s deliberately being outnumbered. I’ve heard time and time again, the talking heads on (such as Baier, Hume, etc.) declare that FOX “news” is “fair, balanced and unafraid”. Really? If that is true, then why can’t they ever have a show that has a majority of liberals going up against a minority of conservatives? What are they afraid of, hmm?
Yeah, yeah, I know but I just wanted to ask the rhetorical question anyway. LOL!
On FoxNoise—if you’re not part of their clique—the standard for the season is “Bah, humbug!”
