Fox Already Blaming President Obama For Detention Of Military Personnel In Libya

Posted by Ellen -7835.60pc on December 27, 2013 · Flag

As soon as Fox News reporter Ed Henry finished updating viewers on the news that four members of the U.S. military have been detained in Tripoli, Libya, the Kelly File brought out contributor John Bolton for Republican analysis. He got right down to making political hay of it. UPDATED

Bolton said:

This is the government that the White House allowed to come into power after the overthrow of Muammar Qaddafi. So if this incident really is a conscious decision by the government in Tripoli to detain these four Americans …I think that’s gonna cause real trouble for the administration and our efforts to have the government of Libya extend its control over the rest of the country which has degenerated into terrorist camps, Al Qaeda affiliates and the like. Look, this could simply be a mistake by some local police official, it could be the marines were out having a few pops. Who knows at this point? But I can understand why there’s concern in Washington that if this is not handled correctly, it could be a major problem for the United States on the ground in Libya.

Not surprisingly, guest host Shannon Bream and Henry emphasized the “sensitivity” of the situation because of – you guessed it, Benghazi. Surely, there are Fox News worker bees scurrying around as I write this trying to find a way to connect the incidents – and, of course, blame Obama even more.

UPDATE: The four have been released. It's worth noting that in its report on the relase, CNN has this information Fox did not:

The detention of the four personnel also followed reports of a U.S. military operation in October that saw members of the elite Army Delta Force launch a raid in Tripoli to capture Abu Anas al Libi, an al Qaeda operative wanted for his alleged role in the deadly 1998 bombings of two U.S. embassies in Africa.

Libya's interim government called the capture a kidnapping and demanded an explanation from Washington about the raid.

The Obama administration aggressively pursuing a terrorist in Libya? No wonder Fox didn't want to discuss it!

From truman’s comment:

“Mad man Bolton, AKA the Talking Toilet Brush, excitedly wets his Depends when he just thinks about yet another war against a Muslim nation.”

Yes indeed — especially when this notorious draft-dodging PFC (Privileged Fascist Chickenhawk) KNOWS DAMN WELL THAT NOT A SINGLE ONE OF HIS MILITARY AGED LOVED ONES WILL BE GETTING SHOT AT, CRIPPLED, MAIMED OR KILLED!

This is the same Bolton who recently said he wants to lynch, yes lynch, that Snowden character. Who in hell even listens to that numbnut? FNC is the only one.

Bolton is a has-been — a guy craving for power but unable to get hired by anybody — including Republicans. He is the perfect Foxie.

John Bolton is one of the worst things that ever happened to America. He is a domestic terrorist of the highest order.

Mad man Bolton, AKA the Talking Toilet Brush, excitedly wets his Depends when he just thinks about yet another war against a Muslim nation. A general war with Iran is the big prize. For now, the neocons will have to settle for this minor military incident in Libya, AKA Benghazi on Fux Noise.

I'm sure there are Fox worker bees doing their best to tie this to - you guessed it, Benghazi.
