CREW and Brave New Films Join in Campaign to Expose Waste at the DHS
CREW (Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington) has released a new report outlining the massive amount of wasteful spending within the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) under the Bush administration. The report is titled Homeland Security for Sale - DHS: Five Years of Mismanagement and outlines the "massive failures and billions wasted at the Department of Homeland Security". Shepard Smith Says President Bush "Showing Some Love" & Bush Puts Down New Orleans By Saying "It Makes A Significant Difference When You Have Someone In The State House To Take The Lead"
Wasn't expecting the chest stuck out bravado of Shepard Smith and company on Studio B for President Bush today, but we got it.
It also sounded like Bush was criticzing New Orleans with a statement he made.

Studio B - Mostly Happy Katrina Stories
Today we didn't have happy Iraqi stories on Studio B with Shepard Smith. We had happy Katrina stories. While most of the stories were about the grit and determination of the New Orleans and Mississippi people, Smith waited until the end to touch on some very important points.

President Bush Center Stage On Studio B
On Studio B with Shepard Smith today they spent between 20 and 25 minutes focusing on President Bush's speech in Mississippi since tomorrow is the one year anniversary of Katrina. His speech focused on thanking the Governor, the Senators, the Mayors, over and over.
He also said that he gave a big check and now it's up to the local governments to make things happen.
