A damning video of a white police officer shooting a fleeing African American in the back and apparently planting a gun next to him brought out the racist hatred in some Fox Nation residents.
The Fox Nation post about the video was straightforward and non-inflammatory (unlike many Fox Nation posts involving race). But here’s what some people think about the killing of a black man.

@ Lakeview Greg: “KKK, Fox Nation, what’s the diff?”
One group is one of the most violently and virulently racist, bigoted organizations in US history.
The other likes to dress up in pointy hoods and white sheets and sets crosses on fire . . .

You can’t imagine how difficult it is as a retired American ex-pat to explain the barbarity of the U.S. police. In the UK police officers rarely, if ever carry a gun, and even more rarely shoot ANYONE, let alone an unarmed person. Here in Thailand where I live…..and Thailand ain’t anything close to a democracy….the incidents of police officers shooting anyone is extremely rare. In America it seems it is standard operating procedure to shoot first and ask questions later……especially if the suspect is a person of color.
I can’t describe the emotional whirlwind I experience whenever I take a glance at the hate speech that passes for “commentary” at Fox Nation. Anger, and disbelieve followed by anguish and depression. Apparently there is no limit to the bile that these people spew. I honestly don’t know how Ellen and everyone else at Newshounds takes it, day after day!
Conservatives are always talking about “bad apples”. Perhaps it is time to do some serious “pruning” in the orchard of law enforcement.
If a white Christian bombs an office of Planed Parenthood In their alternate universe, a hundred right wingers who go on a killing spree are ALWAYS “Lone Wolves”. Nope, no such thing as a Christian terrorist. If a single Muslim commits an act of terror, It is seen as an all encompassing Islamic Jihad.
In any case American police departments are long overdue in changing the way officers are changed….AND tossing the “bad apples” into the trash bin before more innocent people are murdered!

And then people like O’Reilly pretend that conservatives aren’t racist. “what? I’ve never seen any evidence of that!” Look at your own website sometime Billy.

FoxNation has long been right up there with StormFront in terms of the racist vitriol, but I think FoxNation is really making strides in becoming the worst.

Although Ellen is correct to point out that Fox did have straightforward coverage of the story on Wednesday, they seemed reluctant to join other news outlets in doing so. When the story first exploded late Tuesday afternoon, I looked on every website I could think of. All the mainstream ones had it as their lead story, including a link to the video. The FoxNews site, however, had the story buried deeply, without the video, and with the original attorney’s defense of his actions quoted. Later that evening, they did attach an abridged video from one of their affiliate stations. It took a full day before they realized this one is indefensible. Good thing The Nation is there to help them out.

Simple. Continue to tie the bigots with the Fox “News” bigots. Read out loud the comments to political town hall meetings, on talk radio stations, tell neighbors, co-workers, relatives of the racist comments on Hate Nation.
Ask Rand Paul and Ted Cruz about the racist comments of Fox “News” viewers. Show them a copy as proof.
That’s how you deal with these Workplace Bullies. That’s the culture of the company.

I think they’re primarily upset about the facts that 1) the cop was caught on video, 2) the cop was caught apparently planting a gun on the victim, and 3) the cop was arrested and will be tried for murder.
Had it been just a straightforward case of a cop shooting another unarmed black man without video evidence — or even video that showed the black man getting into a confrontation with the cop beforehand — they’d have been in a much more celebratory mood . . .
