If you’re wondering just how unglued Donald Trump has become, check out his whine when a Fox News reporter questioned his claim that there’s a media “global conspiracy” against him.
In the clip below, Fox News reporter Carl Cameron challenges Trump on his complaint that the press has not reported the claims of sexual assault and other improprieties against him as “bogus.”
TRUMP: The press should report it as bogus. Every one of those charges were false and they were lies.
CAMERON: But what’s the evidence of that other than people just saying it didn’t happen. I mean, if they didn’t see it, how can they say they didn’t see it?
Trump’s tiny feathers were obviously ruffled. “It didn’t take place,” he said. He added, “You don’t even believe that one ... a woman on the airplane 35 years ago." Trump was referring to Jessica Leeds, who has accused Trump of groping her on an airplane. “I don’t know, maybe you’re very gullible,” Trump jabbed at Cameron. “But you don’t believe that one.”
Trump rambled about how “somebody else would say let’s focus on” issues such as jobs and the Second Amendment “and I agree with that but I want the truth to come out.”
So Cameron changed the subject:
CAMERON: But you — you keep saying that the media is collectively working against you. Do you really think we're part of a global conspiracy, really? I mean, honestly, a global conspiracy?
TRUMP: Fox hasn’t been great. But the others have been really bad. Yeah, I would say that Fox certainly hasn’t been great. But you’ve been better than some of the others, I would say that’s true.
It’s not clear to me whether Cameron’s “we” meant the media as a whole or Fox in particular. But either way, Trump suggested that Fox could be part of the vast global conspiracy that he claims is rigging the election against him.
Cameron quickly ended the interview.

I hope I am wrong, but I think Little Chrissie Wallace will do a partisan hack job on Hillary tonight. Endless questions on emails, Clinton Foundation and that golden oldie Benghazi. Chrissie will allow the Orange Doughboy to drone on endlessly and to frequently interrupt Hillary’s answers. Fair & Balanced Fux Noise style.
Please, please, please, Americans: start talking endlessly about the fine values that made the country great and provided a convincing example for many countries throughout the world. I believe it was Churchill who said that, although Democracy was a flawed system, it was still the best one available. The message being that Democracy is never to be considered “won” but rather something to be pursued constantly.
Now, to my mind, Trump stands for everything that America has NEVER stood for, apart (perhaps) for the emphasis on individualism. Problem is that the founding fathers realised that individualism is possible if and only if all individuals play by a body of agreed rules. And that’s precisely where The Donald fails miserably. The only “rules” this silly man recognises are the ones that feed his very own, personal ego. His lack of coherence would be disarming if it were not so allarming. Hitler and Mussolini started off with this sort of “reality”
Anyway, his followers (as in "of the pied piper) say they like Trump because “he says it the way it is”, but then – in the very same breath – they claim that we shouldn’t take the man at his word when he brags about molesting women or being a tax evader or whatever. This lack of coherence would be disarming if it were not so allarming. Hence, I agree with Hillary in considering them to be truly deplorable, just like their idol.
The real story here is Carl Cameron’s long lonely walk back to the Faux locker room.
I took Carl’s “we” as a collective reference to the press. Obviously, we – as in Newshounds readers and any American outside the Fox News bubble – think the idea of the press colluding to destroy Trump ridiculous. However, conservatives are suckers for conspiracy theories in general and especially love ones fulfilling the liberal msm meme.
Ironically, I just finished watching Chris Hayes on MSNBC and he’s complaining the media isn’t asking campaign questions about global warming including no questions during any of the debates. And we all know the likelihood of Fox News’ Chris Wallace covering global warming in Debate 3 is next to nothing.
Which is the point I always make to right-wingers doing diaper fills over the ‘liberal msm’. Liberals don’t like it either and smear it as the ‘corporate media’. The only difference is the loudest whiners in the room are conservatives who go as far as to treat the media as a bunch of liars unless they tell them what they want to hear. Like Fox News.
My favorite moment in the interview was when Trump asked Cameron if he believed the woman on the airplane and even implied he’s a moron if he did. The response? Crickets and a strained poker face.
One more debate folks. Hillary 5 days of debate prep. Trump some spare time on a plane ride preparing. Let’s hope it goes like the first 2 then we’re just about ready to put a bow on this election.
