Here we go again with another crackpot prediction from Fox News pundit, “former Clinton advisor” (and current Republican) Dick Morris. Last night, on The O’Reilly Factor, Morris pronounced Ann Romney’s convention speech a stunning success: "When she talks about how the dining room table – the ironing board was the dining room table, nobody’s gonna think that this guy (Mitt Romney) was born having it all.” Well, nobody, maybe, except Stephen Colbert and his viewers.

Colbert also highlighted the “ironing-board-as-dining-table” clip from Ann Romney’s speech. “Can you imagine?” Colbert “asked” with his trademark deadpan. “It must have been so awkward when the maid interrupted their dinner to iron.”

Morris rated Ann Romney’s speech as a “9 or a 10.” He added, “She’s better than any other first lady candidate or incumbent that has ever spoken at a convention… This was effectively the answer to the negative campaign.”

Whatever you say, Dick.
