No FEMA? No Problem On Fox News

On Cashin’ In yesterday (10/1/11), the panel discussed FEMA finding extra money and thereby averting a government shutdown. Regular panelist and Fox News contributor Jonathan Hoenig said, "Truth is, is that we don't need FEMA. You talk like it's an integral part of the Constitution, it’s not." Host Cheryl Casone didn’t challenge that radical suggestion.

Fox & Friends Decide Bill Clinton Didn’t Really Mean It When He Supported Obama’s Jobs Plan
Who needs a Democratic guest when you’ve got Fox & Friends Republican clairvoyants to tell you what Democrats are really thinking? At least, that would seem to be the case as the curvy couch crew announced this morning that former president Bill Clinton was caught in a bad position yesterday when he was asked about President Obama’s jobs plan and defended it out of obligation not sincerity. But speaking of sincerity, this was during an anniversary visit to Florida’s The Villages that looked a lot more like an infomercial for one of their advertisers than a place Fox News producers happened to pick for its scenic or journalistic value. The happy talk included “spontaneously” singing The Village’s jingle.

O’Reilly: We Need To Tax The Poor More To Make Taxes Fair For Rich Folks
Poor Bill O’Reilly! While many Americans are out of work or struggling to make ends meet, he’s got his own money troubles - because our income tax structure makes him pay too much while those less fortunate pay too little. So he’s “looking out for the (rich) folks” by doing his part to right that injustice. O’Reilly dropped that goal into a discussion with Lou Dobbs after President Obama’s address last night (9/8/1) by announcing he wants a national sales tax – or, as O’Reilly put it, a “consumption tax,” in order to make sure that poorer people pay their “fair share.” That’s what he actually said.
