CNN’s Bill Weir didn’t pussyfoot around yesterday when he gave a rather – er, frank opinion of Fox Nation’s climate denying.
As The Wrap noted, it started when Fox Nation tried to smear Al Gore and those who care about climate change:
“Climate Doesn’t Cooperate With Al Gore Group’s Visit to Denver EPA Hearings,” read the headline of a post on Fox News’ opinion and aggregation site. The story, from the Washington Times, noted that while Gore’s group has linked global warming to hot temperatures, Denver was 58 degress and rainy on the day of the hearings.
Weir’s tweet, above, was his response. As Crooks and Liars noted, you don’t often see this kind of “colorful” language from news anchors.
Predictably, the right wing climate deniers are foaming at the mouth. But I say we need more of this kind of forceful smackdown of Fox’s bias distortions and falsehoods.
