Cheney And Hannity Suggest Sarah Palin More Qualified Than Barack Obama To Be President

Posted by Ellen -7859.80pc on August 06, 2012 · Flag

Sean Hannity aired a two-segment interview with former Vice President Dick Cheney tonight. In the first part, Cheney spent a lot of time explaining his recent remarks that John McCain made a “mistake” in picking Sarah Palin as a VP candidate because she was “not ready to take over.” In the second segment, Hannity made sure to elicit comments from Cheney that President Obama is also not qualified to be President – and did his best to suggest that Palin would have been more qualified.

Hannity opened the subject by asking Cheney if Obama was “prepared for this job.”

“Not by the standards that I would apply,” Cheney said. He described Obama’s experience has having “served a couple of …undistinguished terms in the Illinois State Senate, missed a lot of votes. Ran for the House of Representatives once and got beat. And then ran for Senator from Illinois.” Cheney added, “And his opponent withdrew partway through the race because somebody had leaked some information on a divorce proceeding…“

Hannity said snidely, “I wonder who.”

Cheney added, deadpan, “I don’t know who. It came out of Chicago.”

Cheney continued by describing Obama’s senate career as, “He disappeared for two years. Never heard anything of him while he was a member of the United States Senate. And then all of a sudden, he’s running for President. That was the, sort of the sum total of his quote, experience. He obviously ran a good campaign. He was able to defeat Hillary Clinton. That’s not an easy task… But if I were to apply the standards that I’ve talked about you want in a running mate, Barack Obama didn’t meet that test. “

Hannity said, “Interesting. Governor Palin had far more executive experience than Barack Obama.”

Cheney replied, “That’s true. She was governor for two years.”

Hannity added, “And mayor prior to that.”

By all means, Seanie-poo, have Palin run. Let’s see if the American people agree with you that she’s more qualified.

Later in the discussion, Cheney pushed discredited author Ed Klein's recent book about Obama - the same book that Rupert Murdoch just promoted in a tweet. What a coincidence!

When Cheney criticized Princess Palin, Handout Hannocchio was called to the scene to help clean-up a messy situation.

This bogus interview is damage control created by the Fox “News” producers frauds, and Handout Hannocchio.

@Kirk Edwards: You’re right, anyone can be President — even a fake Texas cowboy/ex-governor/Yale legacy/failed oil businessman/AWOL Nat’l Guardsman.

Of course, he wasn’t elected, either . . .

Not sure either one is qualified for the job, but one did get elected. Goes to show you that anyone can be President. But then again not everyone can use writing a book as a major accomplishment/qualification for president.

@Visitor 55: the AK legislature only works half a year? As much as these wingnuts claim they hate gov’t, I’m surprised they don’t complain that that’s too long . . .

@doors17: I agree — lil’ dick should get his face on TV as much as possible between now and November; that’ll make President Obama’s campaign that much easier.
He had a 15% approval rating when he left? Seems a little high . . .

@Kevin Koster: lil’ dick predicted a “rMoney landslide of 330-350 electoral votes”?
ROFLMAO!! lil’ dick must’ve gotten ahold of Glenn Beck’s wet dream — er, electoral map:

This jump started my day by laughing until I cried.the Whore of Babble-On as a more qualified president for the USA,this is priceless.
These observations could only come from the evil Darth Vader and the no nothing KKKlannity Klown.
Rick Patel as per usual you slay me with your phony adoration of the Moose Princess. My dream Presidential ticket is still the "Robot with the Whore of Babble-ON "in tow.I can hardly type I’m laughing so hard.

@Rick Patel – you poor poor misguided simpleton. Sarah is not qualified to scrape the dog poop from your shoe, let alone govern America. The very fact that you come here and attempt to defend her speaks volumes to your mindset. Why don’t you go play with the racists at Fox Nation? I’m sure you’d be better suited over there.

I turned off the Cheney “interview” after maybe 4 minutes. I simply had had enough. I like parallel universe history too, but I just don’t have time to indulge in Cheney’s repeated attempts to create it.

There was a much funnier Hannity segment to come, though. Once again, he had Dick Morris on, who heroically predicted a Romney landslide of either 330 or 350 Electoral votes. And the part that sent it into hysterics was when even Sean Hannity couldn’t go there with him. When you have both O’Reilly and Hannity saying to Morris that he’s going way out on a limb, that’s a heck of an achievement. Morris may be the last person on Fox (other than Cheney) to figure out what the rest of the country has already deduced about this election.

Personally I’m in favor of getting Cheney on as often as possible. Memories are very short, and amnesia of the Bush years would be something the R’s would benefit from. By putting on his mug everyday is a great reminder to those have forgotten, so we’ll most likely not be seeing or hearing from him soon as we get closer to election day. He had about a 15% approval rating when he left office, so by all means Sean and Fox, make him a regular guest.

truly laughable.

@mj-the same one. “The Whore of Babble-On” perfectly describes Sarah Palin. Despite what Shooter and KKKlannity may spew out, the Whore of Babble-On is doing exactly what she is qualified for. A freak show for the ignorant teabaggers.

In any sentient person’s mind, there is no doubt that talented, torrid, tempestuous Gov. Sarah Palin is infinitely more capable & qualified to lead, inspire, & motivate a free country than is tepid, shallow empty suit Barack Obama.

*Hannity said, “Interesting. Governor Palin had far more executive experience than Barack Obama.”

Sigh . . . I figured I wouldn’t have to go into this, since, by now, anybody with half a brain — and an internet connection — would already know . . . but, here we go again:

- Yes, lil’ dick, Palin was governor for two years — OUT OF A FOUR YEAR TERM. She resigned in the midst of being investigated for more than a dozen ethics violations

- Yes, Seannie Poo, she was mayor — OF A TOWN OF 5,000 PEOPLE. During her term, the city of Wasilla, AK went from a net debt of zero to more than $20 million in debt

On what planet do these two idiots think an ethically-challenged governor of a state with a smaller population than Seattle {who was unable to finish her term}, is more qualified to lead the world’s only superpower at the time of it’s worst financial crisis in 70 years?

And exactly what was Dubya’s “experience” before his appointment to the Presidency? Anyone who knows anything about the Governorship of Texas knows it’s one of the weakest gubernatorial positions in the entire country. The Lt Governor has more power because of his presiding over the Senate.

And, of course, before that, Dubya had nothing but failure after failure in business.

OK, it’s official.

When Fox starts talking about how The Whore Of Babble-On is more qualified to be President than Barack Obama — FOUR YEARS AFTER she was DECISIVELY rejected for the office of VP — it’s gotten to the point that they’ve run out of material, and are merely recycling old slurs . . .
