Last night, in his regular Monday night discussion with Bernard Goldberg, Bill O’Reilly tackled the thorny issue of why Fox is “pretty much the only ones covering the so-called ‘War on Christmas.’” Goldberg agreed this is an “interesting” story that the “liberal” media should not be ignoring. He chalked it up to lack of religion and, by implication, the liberal views that supposedly predominate everywhere else but “fair and balanced” Fox. But O’Reilly thought it was because nobody else has the cojones to cover it.
Before getting to Christmas, they sneered at Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s recent comments about Fox News and conservative media. They ignored his remarks about Fox and conservative media “dividing the country in a way that we haven’t been divided probably since the Civil War” and instead accused him of not understanding the “overwhelmingly liberal media culture” that we live in.
But later, at about 4:15, they moved on to the War on Christmas.
O’Reilly commented, “We are pretty much the only ones covering the so-called war on Christmas.” He wondered why “You don’t see these stories on any of the morning programs… They’re pretty interesting stories, one way or the other.”
Goldberg stated his belief that a business should be able to tell its employees to wish customers “Happy Holidays” and that he has some Constitutional concerns about putting Baby Jesus on public property. “But from a strictly journalistic point of view, it’s interesting when the Governor of a state in this country calls it a ‘Holiday Tree’ …and won’t call it a ‘Christmas Tree.’” He said that he thinks it’s not a “mainstream media” story because those (liberal) mainstream-media journalists are not religious.
But O’Reilly had a different, more self-important point of view. “I think they’re afraid of the issue.”

Yeah, Bill, just like Don Imus is afraid of it.
Yes…freedom is interesting. It’s something I think about a lot. You see, the Governor is free to call the tree in his state whatever he wants. And here’s the beautiful part…you’re still free to call it a Christmas tree. You can visit it, in person, behold all its beauty and exclaim, “What a wonderful Christmas Tree!” No one will arrest you…trust me.
I can think of two possible reasons why, BillO.
1. Everybody else thinks you’re a nut bag:

2. Given the Fox News reputation for “accuracy in reporting”, there’s no telling what video you’ll show in covering that “War On Christmas”:

.
You have no idea how petty and absurd you sound, and you are way over the age to sound like such a whiny little boy.
