Bill O’Reilly: The Rest Of The Media Not Brave Enough To Cover The War On Christmas

Posted by Ellen -7835.60pc on December 11, 2012 · Flag

Last night, in his regular Monday night discussion with Bernard Goldberg, Bill O’Reilly tackled the thorny issue of why Fox is “pretty much the only ones covering the so-called ‘War on Christmas.’” Goldberg agreed this is an “interesting” story that the “liberal” media should not be ignoring. He chalked it up to lack of religion and, by implication, the liberal views that supposedly predominate everywhere else but “fair and balanced” Fox. But O’Reilly thought it was because nobody else has the cojones to cover it.

Before getting to Christmas, they sneered at Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s recent comments about Fox News and conservative media. They ignored his remarks about Fox and conservative media “dividing the country in a way that we haven’t been divided probably since the Civil War” and instead accused him of not understanding the “overwhelmingly liberal media culture” that we live in.

But later, at about 4:15, they moved on to the War on Christmas.

O’Reilly commented, “We are pretty much the only ones covering the so-called war on Christmas.” He wondered why “You don’t see these stories on any of the morning programs… They’re pretty interesting stories, one way or the other.”

Goldberg stated his belief that a business should be able to tell its employees to wish customers “Happy Holidays” and that he has some Constitutional concerns about putting Baby Jesus on public property. “But from a strictly journalistic point of view, it’s interesting when the Governor of a state in this country calls it a ‘Holiday Tree’ …and won’t call it a ‘Christmas Tree.’” He said that he thinks it’s not a “mainstream media” story because those (liberal) mainstream-media journalists are not religious.

But O’Reilly had a different, more self-important point of view. “I think they’re afraid of the issue.”

Yeah, Bill, just like Don Imus is afraid of it.

For all of those (and there are still many,) we need to stand up for our old traditional values that WE also have the right to abide by too. I for one am getting tired of a few spoiled brats whining about the word “Christmas.” That being said, while they celebrate around their “holiday tree” wishing each other “happy holidays.” I’ll be chiming in still saying “Merry Christmas” to all and as many as I can. MERRY CHRISTMAS FOLKS!

The media doesn’t do much coverage of UFO’s, crop circles, and alien abductions either, Bill! Why do you suppose that is?

Good god man, you can’t even get Alex Jones and Jesse Ventura on board with your little conspiracy!

Yes…freedom is interesting. It’s something I think about a lot. You see, the Governor is free to call the tree in his state whatever he wants. And here’s the beautiful part…you’re still free to call it a Christmas tree. You can visit it, in person, behold all its beauty and exclaim, “What a wonderful Christmas Tree!” No one will arrest you…trust me.

Bildo is a faux newsman covering a faux War on Christmas for a faux news network. Not exactly Pulitzer Prize material.

It’s ALWAYS them against the big, bad world.
But, really, what is the point of this phony war? Do they think that this ploy will gain them market share, or are they just doing Goober maintenance??

I can think of two possible reasons why, BillO.

1. Everybody else thinks you’re a nut bag:

2. Given the Fox News reputation for “accuracy in reporting”, there’s no telling what video you’ll show in covering that “War On Christmas”:

Of course nobody else covers the war on Christmas Bile,it doesn’t exist, what does exist is that your endless talking about it just confirms you are in desperate need of attention.
You have no idea how petty and absurd you sound, and you are way over the age to sound like such a whiny little boy.
