Ann Coulter visited the Hannity show tonight to discuss her opposition to the Senate immigration reform bill – and the Republicans who support it. But Coulter worked herself into such a lather of incendiary invective that she lashed out at Hispanics as a whole, calling them anti-capitalism and pro choice. She also made the dubious claim that foreign-born Hispanics are “the most anti-Semitic in the country.”
The segment started with Sean Hannity smiling indulgently as Coulter grinned proudly for having said, “If the GOP is this stupid, they deserve to die.” Hmm, more talk of murder from our favorite “pro life,” two-time voter fraud suspect.
After calling Republican immigration-reform supporters Senators Marco Rubio and Kelly Ayotte “the Jack Kevorkian of the Republican Party” (more death talk!), she added that she hopes they each face primary opponents. She went on to declare, “If amnesty goes through… it will bankrupt the country.” You can watch the clip to find out why she thinks so.
Then, she really let loose.
Contrary to what your friend Karl Rove says, Hispanics are not natural Republicans. No, that is black Americans who agree with us on the issues but won’t vote Republican because Democrats have told them we’re racist – lyingly, as corrected in my book (name withheld).
Hispanics are natural Democrats. More than any other ethnic group, they think capitalism is a bad system. They are the most pro-choice. They are the most – foreign-born Hispanics – the most anti-Semitic in the country.
…Do not believe that the Hispanics are the same as blacks. No, this will be a disaster for the Republican Party. The entire country will become California. And Republicans – maybe they’ll have a few good years but then it will be over, we’ll never win another national election. Thank you, Marco Rubio.
Notice how despite her inflammatory claim that the country will be bankrupted – and ruined, she also said – her real concern is for the Republican Party.
If Republicans are looking to make inroads with minority communities, they might want to tell the aging Coulter that her entire act is over the hill.
As the GOPees slip further into irrelevancy, their members will babble on endlessly about anything and everything just to get people to pay attention to their whining.
And since when does she care about anti-Semitism when she’s speaking on a network that panders to some of the most racist, bigoted, homophobic, sexist and yes, anti-Semitic viewers in the country?
Annie can say the most offensive comments, and her long time love, Hannocchio will defend her. Aww…true love.
The Republican Party is doomed. Prepared to make funeral arrangements for it cause it’s not going to survive. When that happens, the moderates will abandon the party, leaving only the Tea Pots to run it into the ground with their constant infighting.
Coming down the pipe:
1. A GOP War over immigration splits the party.
2. The Tea Pots seek candidates to run against Marco Rubio.
3. Rubio is shunned by the Tea Pots, and other right-wing extremists.
4. Peaces of Hannocchio’s past comes back to haunt him.
5. Hannocchio finds himself involved in a personal crisis
6. Bad news for Fox “News.”
NOTE TO HANNITY
The workers who cut the lawns and trim the bushes of that Oyster Bay mansion are Latino. The women who cook those meals because the wife can’t cook is Latina. Yeah, we know.
NOTE TO ANNIE
You and your black Irish boyfriend belong together. You two have so much in common.
Nah — don’t.
.
And why exactly is this of any importance? Whether it’s true or not, what does it matter to Coulter?
Here’s why I ask. From the Wiki article on Coulter comes this:
Confronting some critics’ views that her content and style of writing is un-Christian-like,6566 Coulter stated that “I’m a Christian first and a mean-spirited, bigoted conservative second, and don’t you ever forget it.”67 She also said, “Christianity fuels everything I write. Being a Christian means that I am called upon to do battle against lies, injustice, cruelty, hypocrisy—you know, all the virtues in the church of liberalism”.68. . . Coulter was accused of anti-semitism in an October 8, 2007 interview with Donny Deutsch on The Big Idea. During the interview, Coulter stated that the United States is a Christian nation, and said that she wants “Jews to be perfected, as they say”.70 Deutsch, a practicing Jew, implied that this was an anti-semitic remark, but Coulter said she didn’t consider it to be a hateful comment.71 Three days after the interview, Deutsch noted that when he challenged her comments, Coulter appeared “to back off” and “seemed a little upset,” adding, “I think she got frightened that maybe she had crossed a line, that this was maybe a faux pas of great proportions”.72
Coulter, like almost every self-described conservative, certainly seems to put an emphasis on the “con” in conservative since it’s more than willing to pull shit out of its ass and call it “proven fact” and like all the rest of the con artists, takes an Orwellian worldview by the meme of “We’ve always been at war with Eastasia.”
