Fox News Compares Occupy Wall Street Posters To The Unabomber

By Brian

Over the weekend (10/8/11), Liz Trotta was asked by Uma Pemmaraju about the "media spin" on the Occupy Wall Street protests. Trotta said "I advise anybody who has a sense of humor left about this to go to occupywallstreet.com and what you will read is the ravings of what sounds like the Unabomber, and also the use of the word meta, a Greek degree of language." She later said "It's certainly better going down there and carrying signs than going out and hitting the pavement for a job… The liberal media is being accused of setting this up for Obama so that he can use this, these people as a wedge against the Republicans in the election. I don't know if that’s true or not, but the unions, the public service unions, couldn’t wait to get down there last week... It's a magnet for the disenchanted."

What Shannon Bream Didn't Say About Christian TX Anti-Gay Student & His "Punishment"

As Jon Stuart noted, "conservative victimization is the true genius of what Fox News has accomplished." Much of the victimization involves godly Christian kids who are being victimized by the evil, librul secular school system. Last week, Fox News featured a lede, for almost the entire day, about how a good Christian student was "punished for saying that homosexuality is wrong." Fox reported that a Christian Texas high school student, Dakota Ary, was suspended for telling a fellow student, in German class, that homosexuality is wrong. He was suspended for a couple of days but his story went viral in the Christian world. Aiding and abetting the "outrage" was Fox News which had, as an accompaniment to their story, a video of from a local Fox affiliate. Fox Nation also had a thread which elicited the usual knuckle dragging homphobia which must have been really bad cuz the thread was shut down. Over the week-end, on a Fox "news" show, Shannon Bream had a report on the story which featured the young, aggrieved Christian. Despite this being a "news" show, Ms. Bream didn't report subsequent details which provide added perspective on the story - details that include the teacher's version of the incident which focus on some homophobic activity, on the part of Ary and his pals, that has been directed toward the teacher who is gay. But given that homophobia is a Christian "family value" in the Fox audience, one can understand why this segment wasn't "fair & balanced."

Oops! Fox News "Regrets" Mistaking Tina Fey For Sarah Palin

During Sunday's America's News Headquarters, anchor Shannon Bream reported on Sarah Palin's interview with Chris Wallace on Fox News Sunday. But instead of showing a graphic of Palin, the producer posted a photo of comedienne Tina Fey impersonating Palin.

Fox News’ Mike Tobin Said He Was Hit By Wisconsin Protesters

There’s no doubt that Fox News reporter Mike Tobin was heckled by the Wisconsin protesters as he spoke on the air to America’s News HQ today. And I’ll take his word for it that somebody hit him off camera – which is never OK. But the report – supposedly part of Fox News’ “objective news” team didn’t even try to pretend not to hate the protesters or to inform in any objective way about why they hate Fox News so much. Instead, Tobin made such comments as, “The hate that you get from these demonstrators – you can see it in their faces… He (a protester) wants to shut down the communication… (A) teacher told me she hates me because it makes her feel good… They have an idea that there’s going to be a diverse viewpoint, they don’t want to get it.”
