Fox contributor Allen West did his part to race bait the horrible ambush of Dallas police officers – by attacking Hillary Clinton and President Obama for not hating on people of color enough.
We’ve seen FOX politicize the horrible ambush of Dallas police officers by blaming President Obama, Hillary Clinton, Black Lives Matter and Bernie Sanders and by promoting Donald Trump. On Fox Business Network’s Varney & Co., West kicked up the race baiting a notch.
President Obama spoke very supportively of the police in his remarks about the shootings today. But in this segment, Varney & Co. only focused on Obama’s comment about guns:
Obama: [W]hen people are armed with powerful weapons, unfortunately it makes attacks like these more deadly and more tragic. And in the days ahead we’re going to consider those realities.”
Substitute host Elizabeth MacDonald teed up West’s attack: “Mr. West, what is your response to the president?”
West gave his condolences, talked about doing a ride-along with the Dallas police, then got down to it:
WEST: When I listened to the words of President Obama just then - after the San Bernardino terrorist attack, he blamed guns. After the Orlando terrorist attack, he spoke about guns. After this horrific ambush of these Dallas police officers, who are safeguarding Americans exercising their First Amendment rights, he once again talks about guns. But yet, if you go all the way back to the Henry Louis Gates and the Cambridge, Massachusetts incident where he said the police acted stupidly, once again we have a president that seems to always rush to judgment in castigating police in a negative light, as he did yesterday in relation to the Louisiana and Minnesota incidents, instead of letting justice play out there. But again, when it does not fit his narrative that he wants to talk about, he always goes to the ideological agenda item, which is guns.
MacDonald gave her seal of approval to that attack. “That’s right,” she said. Then she opened the door for race baiting by asking West to comment on the Dallas police saying race was a factor.
Instead of staying on the topic of Dallas, West soon reverted to bashing Obama.
WEST: Why isn’t the president talking about the black-on-black crime in his hometown of Chicago, Illinois? Why isn’t the president talking as strongly about Kate Steinle and all the other Americans who were killed by illegal immigrants? And so, it is a cherry-picking of what you want to talk about in order to stoke the flames of racial divisiveness which leads to political gain.
West moved on to blame Hillary Clinton for the Dallas tragedy.
WEST: Hillary Clinton yesterday putting out #BlackLivesMatter. All lives matter and we should not say that one group is more important than another group and, horrifically, they have set the conditions, they have set an atmosphere for the ambush of police officers yesterday.
Of course, saying “black lives matter” is not saying any one group is more important than another. But, predictably, MacDonald did not challenge West on any of his points. She thanked him at the end of the interview and said, “I really appreciate your insights there.”

NOTE TO WEST
Nice to see you side with Roger Ailes since your appearances are more important than siding with women fighting sexual harassment.
And that is such a shocker cuz everyone knows that Faux is all business, all of the time. They never get personal about anything.
- While I am 100% against the type of treatment Ailes has seemingly been dishing out to Gretchen and other women, I find it difficult to sympathize with anyone who has been quite happy to be be part of the larger Fox Manipulation/Lies and Propaganda/Hate-Stirring machine for a decade or more.
