Yup, instead of planning how to spend time with your loved ones, it’s time to gin up the resentment and demonize those who think we should follow our constitution and keep religion out of public schools.
On Fox & Friends, news anchor Heather Nauert launched a salvo, "It's only October, but the war on Christmas is already in full swing?"
Off camera, someone said, "What?" with hammy outrage.
"Oh yeah,” Nauert continued. “The ACLU filing a lawsuit over a live nativity scene and scripture reading during an annual Indiana high school holiday play, saying it violates separation of church and state."
Nauert gratuitously added, “Student participation in this, by the way, is completely voluntary. Thousands now coming together online to keep it included in this year’s play.”
Fox’s war on Christmas season began in August this year, so it’s no wonder that Nauert thinks it’s in full swing now.
However, for the rest of us who think Christmas should be a holiday filled with cheer and good will, we know there’s no war on Christmas if Christmas is in your heart.
