Lou Dobbs Calls Obama Immigration Heckler “Refreshing”

Posted by Ellen · June 17, 2012 1:01 AM · 7 reactions

Although Bill O’Reilly was pretty darned positive about President Obama’s new immigration policy Friday night, he trotted out Lou Dobbs, of all people, to attack, I mean “react” immediately afterward.

AZ Gov. Jan Brewer Fear Mongers Immigration Policy Change Will Result In Massive Increase In Illegal Immigration

Posted by Brian · June 16, 2012 11:48 AM · 12 reactions

Neil Cavuto’s questions yesterday, along with Bill O’Reilly’s later comments, about President Obama’s immigration policy change suggest that Fox News (along with Mitt Romney) does not plan to make a big controversy over it. But that didn’t mean that the GOP “fair and balanced” network wouldn’t make accommodation for those who are more opposed. So to start yesterday’s Your World, Governor Jan Brewer (R-AZ) came on to slam the decision and fear monger that the results will be some kind of “big run” for the border.

O’Reilly Applauds Obama’s New Immigration Policy

Posted by Ellen · June 15, 2012 11:57 PM · 1 reaction

Bill O’Reilly was full of praise for President Obama’s changes to immigration policy tonight. He hailed it as both a fair, humane measure and a politically brilliant one. He devoted his Talking Points editorial segment that opens most O’Reilly Factor shows to the subject. And if he hadn’t followed that up with virulent immigrant-basher and birther Lou Dobbs, I’d have nothing to complain about.

Posted by Ellen · June 15, 2012 9:42 PM · 8 reactions

Fox Nation has a post called Watch: Monkey-See, Monkey-Do. It's a feel-good video showing a child and a chimpanzee mimicking each other at a zoo. But to Fox Nation readers, it's an occasion for anti-Obama racism.

Multimillionaire Hannity Claims “I’m A Wal-Mart Guy”

Posted by Ellen · June 15, 2012 2:28 PM · 3 reactions

Multimillionaire Sean Hannity put on his “regular guy” hat last night as he knocked President Obama’s “big fundraiser” with the “Learjet limousine liberals” - that latter said with a mock English accent, for extra “regular guy” points. For even more “regular guy” points Hannity made a point of calling himself “a Wal-Mart guy.” What Hannity forgot to mention? He’s got his own champagne tastes, takes part in plenty of pricey fundraisers for conservatives and when he’s not in “regular guy” mode loves to boast about his coziness with elites.

On Tuesday (6/12/12), Grover Norquist spoke to Your World’s Neil Cavuto about North Dakota’s vote to possibly eliminate property taxes (the measure was rejected). The subject switched to income taxes, which Norquist is famously against.

Reality Star Bristol Palin Just Wants People To Stop Talking About Her Family (Yeah, Right)

Posted by Ellen · June 15, 2012 12:33 AM · 4 reactions

Bristol Palin is shaping up to be every bit the attention whore her mother is. And just as dishonest. Last night, during an interview on Hannity, Palin whined that it is “definitely” hard for her to be talked about and in the public eye. This, not long after she told Fox & Friends that if she knew her upcoming reality TV show that was designed to be about her life as a single mother would be “so much” about her, she would have reconsidered. But that reticence did not prevent her from remaining open to running for political office some day.

The Daily Show Scoops On The Record On Florida Voter Roll Purge

Posted by Ellen · June 14, 2012 9:30 PM · 1 reaction

Greta Van Susteren was no lapdog during her interview with Florida Governor Rick Scott last night. She asked some hard-hitting, penetrating questions about his purging of voters from the Florida voter rolls. Interestingly, Scott could not provide a good explanation as to how he knew the people he had purged were not citizens if he didn’t have the roster of citizens he was suing the Department of Homeland Security to get. Even more interestingly, Van Susteren suddenly ran out of time before she was able to complete her tough questioning. But she never got to the points The Daily Show made perfectly clear: that the voter fraud Scott is fear mongering about is a non-existent problem and he's putting unreasonably onerous restrictions on registration.
