Issa Laughably Tells Fox Contempt Vote Will Be Bi- Partisan
Rep. Darrell Issa went on Fox News Sunday today to discuss the Fast and Furious scandal. Host Chris Wallace’s grilling suggested that there’s a rift in the Republican Party over Issa’s handling of the investigation and his Oversight Committee’s grandstanding vote to hold Attorney General Eric Holder in contempt of Congress. Perhaps it was because he’s feeling the heat that Issa ridiculously said he thought as many as 31 House Democrats would go along with the “official” contempt vote now pending in the full House.
Read moreCue The Laugh Track - Vatican Hires Fox News Reporter To Improve Its Image!
A scandal ridden Vatican reaches out to an American news network that is owned by a man who was knighted by the Pope for his financial contributions. This network provides the papacy with total support for their opposition to a Democratic American president's policy on contraceptive equality. An American cardinal publicly derides the Democratic president on this news network which is a mouthpiece for the reactionary, religious right. This network employs, as its only official clergy *religious contributor, a Catholic priest who had been a member of a secretive and scandal ridden order and who uses his network pulpit to promote Catholic dogma and reactionary, right wing politics. The network also employs, as a legal analyst, a Catholic "Knight of Malta." In order to improve its image, tarnished by pedophile priests and reports of corruption at its core, the Vatican hires a reporter, who is also a member of a Catholic cult, from this network. While this seeming quid-pro-quo sounds like a plot in a Dan Brown novel, it's not fiction. The Vatican just hired Fox News' Rome correspondent to "help its communication strategy." Material for a Da Vinci Code sequel?
Read moreOh, Look! Steve Doocy Invokes Terry's Parents For Fast And Furious Political Hay, Too
I've been posting about how Fox News has suddenly been using the parents of murdered Border Agent Brian Terry to promote its Fast and Furious attacks on Attorney General Eric Holder - and just at the same time as Republican House Speaker John Boehner has been doing the same thing. Lo and behold, I caught Fox & Friends Steve Doocy joining the club on Friday (6/22/12).

President Obama tripped on his way up the stairs to a stage yesterday. But instead of being concerned for our President's well being, those America lovers over at Fox Nation celebrated his stumble.
Read moreOMG, Eric Bolling Is A Creationist - LOL!!
Fox News' Eric Bolling is not uneducated. After his graduation from the posh, Illinois Jesuit Loyola Academy, he received his undergraduate degree from Rollins College. So in talking about his "CV," we're not talking East Cow Chip Christian & Bible College. (An imaginary place but you get the idea.) Yet, in a recent discussion on Fox's "The Five," during which Eric's fellow devout Catholic Greg Gutfeld attacked Bill Maher as "a guy who eats his own vomit," Bolling described himself as a "creationist." Really?
Read moreBill O’Reilly, Megyn Kelly And John Boehner All Using Brian Terry’s Parents For Fast And Furious Political Gain
The O’Reilly Factor and America Live followed in the Hannity show’s footsteps yesterday by evoking the parents of murdered Border Patron agent Brian Terry as a means to vilify Attorney General Eric Holder for withholding documents in the Fast and Furious case. And guess who else is doing the same thing? John Boehner. What a coincidence!
Read moreGlenn Beck Image Rehab Continues: Bullied Bus Monitor Edition
Glenn Beck visited the O’Reilly Factor last night where he discussed the 68 year-old woman who was bullied on a school bus. Beck was full of outrage on her behalf and even dropped a hint (that O’Reilly helpfully picked up) about a fund he had set up on her behalf. Yet Beck had no such concerns when he viciously and repeatedly demonized a 78-year old woman even after she received death threats on his website.
Read moreFox Reporter Who Trashes "Tainted" Connections Of New NLRB Appointee Has Some Taint In His Trunk?
As we speak the "fair & balanced" Fox News website's big, fat lede is titled "Questionable Relations, Obama's Pick to Join NLRB Comes From Union Rife With Mob Ties and Corruption." The article, written by Fox's Doug McKelway, is a total "guilt by association" screed about how President Obama's newest National Labor Relations Board Member, Richard Griffin, was former general counsel to a union whose members have a "rap sheet" that "reads like something out of Goodfellas." McKelway, using "public documents obtained by Fox News," provides a litany of "egregious" accusations and activities perpetrated by, as described by McKelway, the truly evil heavy equipment labor union "IUOE." Without any evidence of Griffin's connection to anything illegal, he suggests that Griffin is dirty but Americans "will never know." But the irony is that Mr. McKelway seems to be a little tainted himself. Let's dish.

In the alternate reality of the Christian right, the US military is biased against Christians. The reality is, however, very different. As documented by the Military Religious Freedom Foundation and lawsuits that stem from this information, it's Christian conservatives who are trying to impose their brand of Christianity on the military. Only this week, an Army Lt. Col. was suspended for teaching that "a total war against Islam is necessary." But you won't hear about this kind of thing on Jesus' very own "news" network that has validated, on several occasions, the lies of the uber Christian head of the Congressional Prayer Caucus, GOP Rep. Randy Forbes. This morning, Forbes appeared on Jesus' own Fox morning show, Fox & Friends, where he continued to be validated by the same folks who had no problem with violent bible verses on Army rifles. Praise Jesus and Roger Ailes!
Read moreSean Hannity Exploits Brian Terry’s Parents For Fast And Furious Political Hay
Sean Hannity put on a hammy show of sympathy for the parents of murdered border agent Brian Terry when he trotted them out on the Hannity show last night. Terry, you may recall, is the murdered border agent, the American victim of the Fast and Furious scandal Hannity and Fox News have been doing their darnedest to turn into the Watergate of the Obama presidency. I’m sure some, if not most, of Hannity’s sympathy was genuine. But Hannity’s interest in the couple looked almost completely self-serving as he repeatedly and blatantly prodded the grieving parents into attacking President Obama and Attorney General Eric Holder.
