Bill O’Reilly, Megyn Kelly And John Boehner All Using Brian Terry’s Parents For Fast And Furious Political Gain
The O’Reilly Factor and America Live followed in the Hannity show’s footsteps yesterday by evoking the parents of murdered Border Patron agent Brian Terry as a means to vilify Attorney General Eric Holder for withholding documents in the Fast and Furious case. And guess who else is doing the same thing? John Boehner. What a coincidence!

Glenn Beck visited the O’Reilly Factor last night where he discussed the 68 year-old woman who was bullied on a school bus. Beck was full of outrage on her behalf and even dropped a hint (that O’Reilly helpfully picked up) about a fund he had set up on her behalf. Yet Beck had no such concerns when he viciously and repeatedly demonized a 78-year old woman even after she received death threats on his website.

As we speak the "fair & balanced" Fox News website's big, fat lede is titled "Questionable Relations, Obama's Pick to Join NLRB Comes From Union Rife With Mob Ties and Corruption." The article, written by Fox's Doug McKelway, is a total "guilt by association" screed about how President Obama's newest National Labor Relations Board Member, Richard Griffin, was former general counsel to a union whose members have a "rap sheet" that "reads like something out of Goodfellas." McKelway, using "public documents obtained by Fox News," provides a litany of "egregious" accusations and activities perpetrated by, as described by McKelway, the truly evil heavy equipment labor union "IUOE." Without any evidence of Griffin's connection to anything illegal, he suggests that Griffin is dirty but Americans "will never know." But the irony is that Mr. McKelway seems to be a little tainted himself. Let's dish.

In the alternate reality of the Christian right, the US military is biased against Christians. The reality is, however, very different. As documented by the Military Religious Freedom Foundation and lawsuits that stem from this information, it's Christian conservatives who are trying to impose their brand of Christianity on the military. Only this week, an Army Lt. Col. was suspended for teaching that "a total war against Islam is necessary." But you won't hear about this kind of thing on Jesus' very own "news" network that has validated, on several occasions, the lies of the uber Christian head of the Congressional Prayer Caucus, GOP Rep. Randy Forbes. This morning, Forbes appeared on Jesus' own Fox morning show, Fox & Friends, where he continued to be validated by the same folks who had no problem with violent bible verses on Army rifles. Praise Jesus and Roger Ailes!

Sean Hannity put on a hammy show of sympathy for the parents of murdered border agent Brian Terry when he trotted them out on the Hannity show last night. Terry, you may recall, is the murdered border agent, the American victim of the Fast and Furious scandal Hannity and Fox News have been doing their darnedest to turn into the Watergate of the Obama presidency. I’m sure some, if not most, of Hannity’s sympathy was genuine. But Hannity’s interest in the couple looked almost completely self-serving as he repeatedly and blatantly prodded the grieving parents into attacking President Obama and Attorney General Eric Holder.

With all of Fox's outrage over MSNBC supposedly deceptively editing a video of Mitt Romney where's Sean Hannity's apology for this extremely deceptively edited video of President Obama supposedly admitting he couldn't make the change on immigration policy he had just made - when in fact it shows the opposite?
Read moreMonica Crowley: Fast And Furious A Conspiracy To Undermine The Second Amendment
Monica Crowley, Fox News’ conspiracy-theory gal, predictably appeared on Hannity last night to offer her “insights” into the Fast and Furious investigation. And lo and behold – she saw a conspiracy! This was no botched operation but a deliberate effort by the Obama administration “set up as an assault on the Second Amendment.” Crowley, who also made a name for herself by buddying up to Richard Nixon, also agreed with Sean Hannity that this so-called scandal is “bigger than Watergate.”
Read moreOn Hannity, Rep. Steve King Pretends Fast And Furious Is President Obama’s Watergate
Sean Hannity was once again in partisan clover last night as he licked his chops in anticipation of some epic downfall of Attorney General Eric Holder - no, President Obama on a grand scale not seen since Watergate. On that score, he had a team of like-minded guests to hype the scandal that most Americans probably couldn’t care less about
Read moreMartha MacCallum Doesn't Identify Radical Right Wing Group Behind Anti-Health Care Reform Ad
Although Martha MacCallum is officially a "news anchor," she doesn't appear to take the Fox "fair & balanced" "news" mission very seriously. But today's "America's Newsroom" discussion about the fate of health care was "fair and balanced" in that the two guests represented different perspectives. Martha didn't offer any partisan commentary. So it's all good, right? Not so fast. MacCallum began with video from a $6 million anti-health care reform ad from a "women's group." However, she failed to identify the "women's group" behind the ad that provided her with the basis of the discussion about what happens if health care reform is overturned. But this "women's group" just happens to be the rip-roaring radical right wing homophobic "Concerned Women for America." And that means that the premise for Martha's piece is based on a partisan ad from not just some generic women's group but a virulently partisan one. So much for "fair & balanced!
