Bernard Goldberg Won’t Let ABC News Get Away With Trying to Make Tea Party Look Bad
Monday night on the O'Reilly Factor means Bernard Goldberg's weekly analysis of the latest nefarious deeds of the left-wing media. Top on the bill last night was the mistaken allegation, by Brian Ross of ABC, that James Holmes, the accused in the Aurora movie theater massacre – or at least someone bearing the same name – was a member of the Tea Party. All part of an ongoing liberal effort to make the Tea Party look bad, Goldberg implied.

During his “reality check” segment last night, Bill O’Reilly proclaimed, “We are on the bias watch.” By that he meant he’s on the watch for racial bias against white people – and Mitt Romney in particular.

"Fair and balanced" FoxNews.com used various methods to bury its own findings last week that President Obama leads Mitt Romney in a national poll of 901 registered voters. In web articles, Fox hyped other findings that were unfavorable to Obama. But my favorite was the claim that Obama's 4-point lead was within the poll's margin of error - which was 3 points. UPDATED
Read moreGot Hypocrisy? Brian Kilmeade Uses Children For GOP Political Agenda
Let's do the Fox News time warp again and flash back to August of last year. The Fox & Friends curvy couch potato heads had their nice white (the principal hue on Fox & Friends) panties in a bunch because MoveOn did an ad which featured children to "push a welfare state." The children in the ad articulated ideas for what government could do for the people. Gretchen Carlson said it was "offensive" and the kids didn't know what they were talking about. Fox friends and Maltese Knight, Peter Johnson Jr, said this was a "new low in using children in a political message." Flash forward to this morning's Fox & Friends during which Brian Kilmeade interviewed two little girls whose lemonade stand, for the purposes of Fox & Friends, is an example of Obama's egregious statement about how businesses aren't built in a vacuum. So when MoveOn utilized children in a TV ad, that was "using" children for "a political message" - and this isn't? Really?
Read moreLiz Cheney And Hannity Suggest Iraq’s WMD’s Are In Syria – So Maybe We Should Start A New War!
It was déjà vu all over again, Cheney style, on the Hannity show last night as – get this – Sean Hannity and Liz Cheney theorized that Weapons of Mass Destruction in Syria had been sent there by Saddam Hussein in advance of our Iraq invasion. And since that military action worked out so well, the two went on to suggest we ought to do it again in Syria. Cheney, perhaps ogling a cabinet position in a Romney presidency, went on to blow the now-familiar Romney-campaign dog whistle of characterizing President Obama as anti-American, this time for not being more bellicose.

It has now been 1188 days or 3 years, 3 months and 1 day since Sean Hannity said he'd undergo waterboarding to prove it's not torture - and do it to raise money for charity. Time to man up, Sean, to borrow one of you favorite phrases. Either do it or explain why you haven't!

It’s hard to imagine there could be a more sickening display of sucking up to Sean Hannity and his cause celebre - the defense of George Zimmerman - than there was in a segment the night after Hannity’s interview with Zimmerman last week. While Fox News attorneys Megyn Kelly and Greta Van Susteren as well as other attorneys were blunt in their assessment that Zimmerman had harmed his case with his appearance, Fox legal analysts Peter Johnson Jr. and Kimberly Guilfoyle fell over themselves suggesting that Hannity had just helped acquit him.
Read moreKirsten Powers: The NRA Owns Republicans And The Democrats Cower In Fear
Kirsten Powers was absolutely magnificent discussing gun control on Fox News Sunday today - and a picture perfect example for spineless Democrats - one of whom, former Senator Evan Bayh, was sitting at the table with her. First, she forcefully argued that assault weapons make mass casualties more likely, then she noted that police departments agree with her and when host Chris Wallace tried to argue that Democrats are not doing much on behalf of gun control, she shot back that the NRA and similar organizations "own the Republicans and the Democrats cower in fear.” Even worse for gun-rights advocate Liz Cheney, her fellow conservative, Bill Kristol agreed with Powers.
