Democrat Penny Lee A Patsy For Sean Hannity’s Pro-Allen West Agenda
With two Democrats on Hannity’s Great American Panel Monday night (4/23/12) – each of whom are seasoned Fox News guests - you’d think that at least one of them might have figured out that when Hannity attacked the NAACP for kicking out Allen West, defending the NAACP – instead of questioning why anyone would align themselves with such an unhinged hate monger as West – legitimized Hannity's "issue" and ultimately played right into his hands. Panelist Bob Beckel is on the Fox News staff so we get why he would go along with the agenda. But what’s “Democratic strategist” Penny Lee’s excuse?

If there's any doubt that Fox & Friends is a conduit for GOP talking points, look no further than "melancholy cornhusk" Gretchen Carlson who, this morning, advanced the GOP and Mitt Romney whopper (Don't know if it was pink but it sure was slimey!) regarding a mythical President Obama "apology tour." In previewing an upcoming segment, Gretch quipped that "saying sorry, not the hardest part for President Obama." An "Al Arabiya" clip (not so subliminal reminder of the GOP myth of Obama's allegiance to Islam?) was shown in which Obama commented that "all too often the United States starts by dictating." Obama was referring, at the beginning of his presidency, to his intention of sending former US Senator George Mitchell to the Middle East in order to reach out to Arab leaders, many of whom were unhappy about the US invasion ofIraq. The Foxies didn't include the first part of the sentence, "What I told him is to start by listening." After the clip, Gretch said "remember the president's big apology tour?" She contrasted that with Mitt Romney's promise to never apologize. Hey Gretch, yer pants are burning!
Read moreSteve Doocy Won’t Own Up To Misquoting Obama On His “Silver Spoon” Remark
We previously posted about how Steve Doocy had falsely quoted President Obama’s “I wasn’t born with a silver spoon” remark as "Unlike some people, I wasn't born with a silver spoon in my mouth." That, of course, made it sound as though Obama had taken a direct dig at Mitt Romney. The same misquote was then repeated by the Washington Post (later corrected) and Fox's sister media company, the NY Post. Yesterday, Doocy “clarified” his statement – and pretended he had correctly paraphrased Obama and then been misunderstood. He also failed to mention what the misquote confusion had been.
Read moreBaier and Krauthammer Suggest Posting A Senate Budget Clock “Like The Iranian Hostage” Clock
On Special Report Friday night (4/20/12), the first lightning round topic was the budget. Bret Baier said to Charles Krauthammer, "There’s no budget on the Senate side." Well, not exactly. As Sen. Kent Conrad, Chairman of the Budget Committee said in his floor speech on March 20, 2012, “I want to emphasize for my colleagues that we do have a budget. Those who continue to claim we do not have a budget are either unaware of what they voted on last year or are seeking to deliberately mislead the public.”
Read moreSean Hannity: Let Them Eat Rice And Beans!
Multimillionaire Sean Hannity once again showed just how in touch he is with struggling Americans when he lectured them about his solution to combat hunger: eat rice and beans. In the first place, Hannity knows that poor people are not really poor because they've got refrigerators, stereos and TV's, just not the best and latest "and they don't live in the nicest neighborhood." And thanks to his "friends" who eat rice and beans and the fact that he "sometimes" goes shopping, he knows rice and beans do the trick.
Read moreBill O'Reilly Attacks Ashley Judd For Her Pro-Choice Position?
Along with being a fan of loofahs and Caribbean showers, Bill O'Reilly is also an anti-abortion rights advocate who "fights for the rights of the unborn." As such, he has no qualms about using his show as a vehicle for promoting anti-choice positions such as supporting the de-funding of Planned Parenthood and the validation of Lila Rose's Planned Parenthood sting videos. His greatest "pro-life" achievement was his crusade against the assassinated abortion provider, Dr. George Tiller - a crusade that earned him a "Courage Award" from the hate group, Family Research Council. Recently, the actress Ashley Judd did an internet "Funny or Die" video that mocks Rick Santorum's decision to leave the presidential race by framing it in terms that juxtapose Santorum's candidacy to legislation, supported by Santorum, that puts onerous burdens on women seeking an abortion. Baby saving O'Reilly isn't happy about this. But rather than issuing an outright fatwah, mullah Bill metaphorically spanked her with caution about how this could ruin her career while noting that he wasn't out to hurt her. As if!
Read moreHannity Calls Giuliani’s Tepid Endorsement Of Romney “Rousing”
Sean Hannity interviewed Rudy Giuliani about his recent endorsement of Mitt Romney last night. In a teaser for the segment, Hannity called Giuliani’s endorsement “rousing.” In fact, it was anything but. Even more laughable, Hannity announced his own endorsement of Giuliani for Secretary of Defense. That’s right, although Giuliani has no military or defense experience and there are lots of firefighters who are convinced Giuliani caused needless deaths of firefighters on 9/11, chickenhawk Sean Hannity somehow thinks Giuliani has got what it takes to be SecDef.

It has now been more than three years since Sean Hannity pledged to undergo waterboarding for charity. He made that pledge on April 22, 2009 - three years and two days ago - to Charles Grodin and has yet to fulfill it. Hannity may have forgotten about it but we haven't and we'll keep reminding him until he remembers!
Read moreGeraldo Rivera Declares George Zimmerman Not Guilty - And Makes A Fool Of O'Reilly
During his Talking Points segment Friday night (4/20/12), Bill O'Reilly decried NBC for its biased coverage of the Trayvon Martin shooting. Frankly, from what I've seen of the coverage of the MSNBC coverage, I think O'Reilly has a point. But for O'Reilly to complain about biased coverage at any other network is laughable - especially given the pro-Zimmerman, anti-African American bias right there on Fox News. But even worse, Following the segment, Geraldo Rivera came on the show and did exactly what O'Reilly was complaining about elsewhere, except from the other point of view - and declared shooter George Zimmerman not guilty. Rivera was also tasteless enough to resurrect his attack on Martin's hoodie. UPDATED WITH CORRECTION.
Read moreOn Fox News Fr. Jonathan Morris Suggests NY Times Is Untrustworthy!
Fox News' official propaganda priest, Father Jonathan Morris, brings new meaning to the expression "holy shit." Just when you think that the sweet little padre might be speaking from his sweet little heart, in comes a right cross (pun intended) that demonstrates his deft ability to work in whatever meme his brother in Christ and the GOP, Roger Ailes, needs repeating. One of the Fox's big memes, especially as articulated by Bill O'Reilly, is that the NY Times is Satan's very own media outlet - as opposed to Fox News being Jesus' and Cardinal Dolan's sacred harp. During his weekly Fox & Friends sermonette, Fr. Morris was able to work in this meme as well as put his own positive spin on those who, according to recent data, are losing faith in society's institutions which include (cue R.E.M.) their religion.
