Elisabeth Hasselbeck: Air Conditioning And Cell Phones Are The ‘Ugly Side’ Of Welfare
I posted earlier about how Elisabeth Hasselbeck cast truth aside in order to attack President Obama and fear monger about Obamacare last night. The day before, she went after her fellow Americans who aren't as fortunate as she to make the big bucks lying and smearing on television. Hasselbeck “asked," “Do these folks really need to be on welfare?” Then, after a clip of a few welfare recipients telling Fox’s John Stossel that they have air conditioning and cable TV, she praised his reporting for “exposing the ugly side of entitlements.”

While America is religiously very diverse, Fox News is, like its news staff, mostly monochromatic when it comes to religion. Unlike Fox News, MSBNC doesn't pretend to be "fair & balanced." Yet, on "Morning Joe," the "faith on Friday's" segment features representatives of all faiths while the "fair & balanced" Fox features, almost exclusively, a Catholic priest for its Sunday religion segment. Fr. Jonathan Morris is a reliable mouthpiece for the talking points of the GOP, religious right, and the Catholic bishops' views on reproductive issues - immigration and poverty, not so much. Not surprisingly, Morris supports those Christians who are praying that the Supreme Court will overturn a 2nd Circuit Court decision regarding prayer before public meetings. Fresh from a Florida Catholic Charities fund raiser and before his jaunt to Rome with Cardinal Dolan's entourage, Fr. Morris explained it all for us and in so doing was able to engage in standard Fox atheist bashing with a dash of thinly veiled anti-Semtism. Bless you father, for you have propagandized!
Read moreElisabeth Hasselbeck Blames Obama For GOP-Coined ‘Obamacare’ Name
Was Elisabeth Hasselbeck shockingly ignorant or dishonest when she announced on Fox News that the nickname for the Affordable Care Act, “Obamacare,” was a conceit of vanity by the Democrats? In fact, it was a term cooked up by Republicans to mock the ACA – and then adopted by President Obama. I have the same question about her baseless fear mongering that alleged Obamacare "will topple our entire society financially."

Yes, it’s time for Fox News to play the Christmas victims again – and this year, Megyn Kelly has suited up and is ready to join the crusade in prime time.
Read moreBill O'Reilly, Jesse Watters Mentally Masturbate Over So Called 'Nudity Week' At Brown University
Whenever Bill O'Reilly needs to remind his audience of the debauchery in higher education, he sends out his stalker, Jesse Watters, to provide video which not only documents the degeneracy but provides some nice "traditional" titillation for O'Reilly who, being a single Catholic, can't have sinful sex. Watters recently stalked Brown University for some material to take back to Bill for more shits and giggles. Watters, no stranger to Brown, asked students about a college event, "Nudity in the Upspace," an event that features lectures and events which "explore nudity in all its forms." As Bill and his aging fan base associate nudity with sex, Watters was sent to Brown to do his trademark smirking while asking salacious and judgmental questions. And in so doing, Watters underscored why Brown students, after his last Brown escapade, was described as a "creepy, ambushing, stalker lunatic."
Read moreRand Paul: We Need More Sequester!
On yesterday’s Your World, Neil Cavuto opened a discussion with Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) by suggesting that not raising the debt ceiling wouldn’t be so terrible as the Obama administration is making it out. Paul not only agreed, he thought the sequester isn’t going far enough. Obviously, Paul was hinting that Republicans should demand more cuts even if it meant going past the debt ceiling deadline.
Read moreDennis Miller And Bill O’Reilly ‘Joke’ That Muslims Are Closeted Gays
Stuck-in-the-past Dennis Miller visited The O’Reilly Factor for his regular Wednesday gig last night where he shared a string of gay jokes about Muslims. Bill O’Reilly obviously loved the riff, judging from his laughter. But I’ll bet there were plenty of Muslims who didn’t find it funny. And for those of you wondering why some of them hate us, you might want to check this out as one likely reason.
Read moreFox News V Fox News Latino On New California Driver's License Law
That the America of Fox News is quite different from that of Fox News Latino is clearly demonstrated in the different way that both websites handle the same issue. While Fox News Latino is actually a fair & balanced presentation of the news, Fox News (for real Merkins) is a propaganda vehicle for right wing talking points aimed at stimulating the base and hateful reptilian brains (?!) of its readers. The split personality is further underscored in the use of language with Fox News using the more incendiary, race baiting "illegal immigrants" while Fox News Latino uses "undocumented immigrants" which is the term that is technically correct and used by most mainstream media outlets. "Amnesty" is a popular term on the Fox News website while not used on Fox News Latino. In covering the new California license law, Fox News, once again, showed its disassociative personality disorder. Two pictures worth a thousand words.
Read moreIs Anthony Weiner Trying To Get A Job At Fox News?
Anthony Weiner engaged in a rather epic debate with Sean Hannity tonight. They discussed a wide range of topics including Weiner’s career, Obamacare and the government shutdown. Hannity repeatedly theorized that Weiner was trying to get a job on MSNBC. But I think – and Weiner even said – he was angling for a job at Fox. Whether or not it was in jest, you can decide for yourself. Meanwhile, Weiner did a great job of putting Hannity on defense much of the time. “What am I? A potted plant?” Weiner shot at Hannity after one of his attempts to take charge again.
