Fox Prefers O'Reilly Rerun To Texas Fertilizer Plant Explosion
There were two large explosions at a Texas fertilizer plant near Waco tonight. FoxNews.com reports numerous injuries, major damage to structures and people trapped in a nearby nursing home and apartment building. But Fox News Channel is going with a rerun of The O'Reilly Factor. Better to keep bashing Barney Frank than cover the news, eh? (Hat Tip A.M.)

Fox News’ crackpot psychiatrist Dr. Keith Ablow spoke at a Tax Day Tea Party where he likened tea party members to slaves shackled “by the notion of ever increasing taxes.” He went on to say that slaves “always revolt” and “that’s what’s going to happen here.”

Bill O’Reilly made another unwarranted attack on Alan Colmes last night – after Colmes spoke the truth. This time, the topic was taxes. Colmes correctly argued that while the government may be collecting more dollars in taxes, Americans’ tax rates are lower than in decades. O’Reilly accused Colmes of “doing what you always do: sleight of hand, three-card monte.” In fact, it was O’Reilly and the other guest, Monica Crowley, who were pulling the fast one.

Read moreRudy Giuliani: My Hunch Is Boston Marathon Bombings Were Homegrown
Sean Hannity clucked over the "irresponsible speculation on the part of the left" over who was behind the Boston Marathon bombings. But, as I've often said, whatever Hannity complains about in others is an almost certain sign that he's about to do or condone the same behavior in others. So when "Mr. Mayor," Rudy Giuliani, told Hannity that his "hunch" is that bombings were "homegrown" - and then suggested they were done by a Muslim, Hannity was all ears.
Read moreBrian Kilmeade So Wants Boston Bomber To Be Muslim?!
Fox & Friends' Brian Kilmeade thinks all terrorists are Muslims. True story. He actually said that during Fox News' ongoing crusade (or is it jihad?) against the so called "Ground Zero Mosque" - a veritable Islamophobic propaganda fest which underscored Roger Ailes' "personal paranoia" about Muslims. Kilmeade, obviously under some pressure, issued a halfhearted and almost truculent apology. But that he still harbors the belief that terrorism must be connected to Muslims was apparent, yesterday, when Kilmeade seemed to be desperate to get one of Fox's terrorism experts to suggest that the Boston bombing was connected to Islamic terrorism. While it was obvious that Kilmeade was begging for something to cling to, in his hopes of a Muslim connection, Walid Phares didn't fall for it. Poor Brian...

Bill O’Reilly had a fascinating discussion with Republican Congressman Steve King that clearly revealed the rift in the Republican Party over immigration and outreach to minorities. But one thing they were in synch about was their disdain for Hispanics which was made crystal clear, whether they realized it or not.

Megyn Kelly used a familiar Fox News tactic to politicize the Boston Marathon bombing – and pretend otherwise: she accused Democrats of doing the politicizing and then played the victim. And Fox News' "objective" Chris Stirewalt was a willing helpmate. Maybe it slipped by their Fox faithful but astute observers should take note of the charade.
Read moreBret Baier Panel Uses Gosnell Trial To Push Anti-Abortion, Anti-Obama Agitprop
The latest hissy fit from the anti-abortion movement is about what they claim is a "media black out" of the case involving a Philadelphia abortion doctor who allegedly murdered seven babies and one woman in a horrific clinic that would be in Dante's inner circles of hell. Lack of coverage was blamed on an alleged pro-choice media and in the last week there has been a social media campaign (spearheaded by Michelle Malkin) to demand more national coverage. Assisting in these efforts was Fox's Kirsten Powers whose article about this so called black-out is being credited for media picking up the story. So not surprisingly, Fox News, whose coverage hasn't been exactly front burner, picked up this newest "outrage" which fits nicely with their anti-abortion bias and their patented meme about the librul media. Never wasting an opportunity to bash the president, Fox's politicization of the issue includes the perfunctory "pro-life" smear about how the president supports infanticide. Fox News - fair & balanced as always!
Read moreHannity And Fuhrman Use Boston Marathon Bombs To Advocate Against Gun Laws
Sean Hannity chatted with his pal Mark Fuhrman last night about the Boston Marathon bombs. Hannity really, truly didn’t want to be political, because his thoughts and prayers were with the families of the victims, but he just couldn’t help but point out that when Fuhrman noted that the bombs had probably been made with easily-available items, that added “a layer of texture and context” to demonstrate the supposed futility of passing gun safety legislation.
