"Fair & Balanced" Fox News Says Gosnell Clinic Is 'Reality' Of American Abortion Industry?
The American anti-choice movement is aided and abetted by right wing politicians, evangelical Christians, so called "family values" groups, and the Catholic Church. In addition to these groups, they now have "fair & balanced" Fox News, an alleged "news" network that has become the media outlet for "right to life" propaganda which, at present, is focused on the trial of an abortion doctor who is accused of murdering babies, "born alive" during abortions. In order to conflate what happened in Gosnell's clinic with safe, legal abortion and, thus, advance their crusade to eliminate abortion, the anti-choice zealots accused the media of censoring the story. Fox immediately jumped into what wasn't a media blackout with commentary that pushed the pro-life propaganda. Fox even put together an emotionally charged, perjorative special report, praised by the anti-choicers, which used the trial to push the message that Gosnell represents "the reality of America's abortion industry." If that isn't pure propaganda, I don't know what is!
Read moreBastardi-izing Climate Change
On the May 3rd Your World, Fox's favorite climate-change denying weatherman, Joe Bastardi, discussed spring snowstorms in the Midwest and record cold in Dallas to dismiss climate change concerns. Neil Cavuto opened by saying “So much for Al Gore’s global warming prediction when he said that we should brace ourselves for one hot 2013.” Center for American Progress’ Joe Romm considers Bastardi possibly “the worst long-range forecaster ever.” But to Cavuto, Bastardi is indisputably “so good.”

Just what, exactly, are Ann Coulter’s credentials that Geraldo Rivera keeps consulting her on matters of terrorism and national security? Other than her predilection for fantasizing about murder and her difficulties in voting in the precincts in which she lives, her only other “qualification” seems to be her inability to speak in public without making incendiary attacks on Democrats. And her unique pronunciation of the word, “Muslim.” Sure enough, in a discussion about how to use whether Benghazi would negatively affect Hillary Clinton’s presidential chances, Coulter accused Democrats of deliberately ignoring "Moo-slim" terrorist attacks out of “political correctness.”

On yesterday’s Cavuto on Business, the panel bashed discussed Yahoo’s decision to double maternity and paternity leave to keep top workers. Dagen McDowell didn’t like it. She sneered, “Did new dads start lactating and I didn’t know about it?” Charles Payne laughed heartily.

On Fox News Sunday this morning, panelist Nina Easton made a rather startling argument – that we start “celebrating” young women who get pregnant and give up their babies for adoption as an alternative to abortion. Unfortunately, she failed to consider – and nobody brought it up, either – the problems faced by pregnant teens and the fact that teens who go through pregnancy are more likely to decide to keep their baby and struggle in poverty as a result.
Read moreEric Bolling Attacks Keith Ellison With Bogus Claim About Koran Used In 'Oath Of Office'
Fox News' Eric Bolling is a devout Catholic who is very open about his faith. He has told his pals on The Five and an interviewer from "The Blaze" that his daily routine includes Mass and candle lighting. He burnished his Christian soldier creds and earned at least one get out of Purgatory free card for throwing an atheist off of his Fox Business show because the guy "denigrated" the name of Bolling's BFF. But despite his Catholicism, Bolling has no problem denigrating Rep. Keith Ellison (D), the first Muslim elected to the US Congress. Recently Bolling bore some false witness, on "The Five, by making the defamatory and unsubstantiated claim that Ellison is a "Muslim Apologist" (as opposed to Andrea Tantaros who says that Christians don't blow things up?) and is "very dangerous." Bolling also claimed that Ellison "took his oath of office on the Koran." There was a Koran but it wasn't for the official oath and it wasn't Ellison's. But the question is whether Bolling knows who once owned the Muslim holy book - hint, it wasn't a radical Islamist - or was it!

For those of you who don’t know, the FDA is lowering the age limit on Plan B to 15. President Obama said last week that, regardless of whatever moral reservations you may have about that, the scientific evidence indicates it won’t harm any girls that young and, therefore, the decision earned his backing. But, rather than just argue against it, Fox News’ Andrea Tantaros, asked whether President Obama will put his daughter, Malia, on birth control.

Charles Krauthammer joined the Fox News chorus of announcements that Obama’s three-month-old second term has been such a failure that he might as well resign. Of course, Fox thought Obama’s first term was so terrible, he all but lost his re-election bid – even after he won it decisively.
