Fox News Sunday discussed entitlement reform and “the swing states that could decide the general election” today with two Republican governors, Terry Branstad of Iowa and Rick Scott of Florida. No Democrats took part. When asked about how to deal with people who don't have health insurance, Scott replied that "The way to fix that" is to put patients in privately-owned managed care organizations (one of which he just may have a financial interest in) "which will help make sure they get to a primary care doctor or get to a specialist... so they don’t end up in an emergency room."

Joseph Goebbels, propaganda minister for the Third Reich, would be so proud of Fox News in that they bring new meaning to his quote, “If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it." As I have reported, Fox News knows the value of taking a propaganda meme and repeating it throughout their programming - and voila, what starts as a right wing meme becomes right wing truthiness. As News Hounds Ellen pointed out, Fox's smear of Democratic US Rep. Andre Carson, for his comment about how the US should look to religious schools, such as madrassas, for ideas on innovation, occurred on both Hannity (twice) and The Factor. Not surprisingly, the good Christians on The Five, joined in the crusade - or is it jihad against Carson. Either way, it's the gospel of hate that's preached in the Fox church of the poisoned mind.

Fox Nation has a report about a Washington, D.C. motocycle police officer who allegedly wished to shoot Michelle Obama. Sadly, but not surprisingly, many of the readers wished he had - and some added their racist sentiments while they were at it. Overall, they voted the article "funny." (H/T Ira R.)

Guest hosting last night’s O’Reilly Factor, Juan Williams suggested that African Americans had deliberately and wrongly race-baited in the Trayvon Martin case when they alleged Martin had been racially profiled by neighborhood watch zealot, George Zimmerman. Williams also adopted the rhetoric of his Fox News colleague Geraldo Rivera by suggesting that Martin’s hoodie was at least partly to blame in fostering Zimmerman's suspicions.

Poor Sean Hannity! Despite having stacked his focus group with almost all conservatives, when he asked whether or not President Obama will be re-elected, most of them voted “yes.”

One of the core beliefs of teabagging patriots is that America is the most awesome country that Jesus every created. This is, of course, bullshit; but that doesn't stop those who believe in "American Exceptionalism" from attempting to foist their views on public school students who are being force fed evil, gay, Marxist propaganda by satanic school teachers. The Starnes article, on Fox Nation and making its way around right wing world, informs us that OMG, the Nebraska Board of Education is considering standards that fail to recognize American Exceptionalism and OMG teach global warming as fact, and other evil things. Fox friend Peter Johnson Jr. was all over it like flies on the Fox & Friends journalistic by-product.

Fox News psychiatrist, Dr. Keith Ablow should take some time off from bashing folks like Chaz Bono and Bill Maher and do a little psych evaluation for his pal Bill O'Reilly whose overly inflated sense of self-importance and pugnacious delusions could indicate what the DSM IV, describes as a "narcissistic personality disorder." These folks have "an extreme sense of self-importance, so much so that they appear to have lost touch with reality." This includes "an inflated sense of self worth" which they require others to affirm. This inflated sense of grandiosity is reflected in O'Reilly's seeming delusion that he "kicked" the "ass" of scientist, author, and evil atheist Richard Dawkins. I'll leave the virtual diagnosis to Ablow who recently leveled charges of child abuse against the parents of a six year old rapper after they allowed the boy to do a "booty pop" rap with women in bikinis. But meanwhile - Bill O'Reilly kicked Richard Dawkins' ass?  Oh, no he didn't!

Geraldo Rivera visited Fox & Friends this morning where he gave himself a pat on the back for "correctly" concluding that Trayvon Martin was profiled by shooter George Zimmerman for wearing a hoodie “thugwear,” not because of race. In making his self-serving declaration, Rivera ignored evidence that Zimmerman does have at least some racist leanings. Regardless, Rivera went on to use his “insight” to suggest that the real racists are civil rights leaders who disagreed with him. Not surprisingly, nobody on the curvy couch challenged his conclusions.

Bill O’Reilly was up in arms that Nancy Pelosi and an MSNBC commenter accused Mitt Romney of deliberately trying to get booed when he spoke to the NAACP convention earlier this week. Supposedly, it was Romney's secret plan to use his victimhood as a way of boosting his cred to racist conservatives. But instead of trying to disprove it, O'Reilly debated – raged against, really – Hilary Shelton, the Washington Bureau Director of the NAACP. And guess what? O’Reilly suggested that the real racial intolerance was coming from the NAACP.
