Eric Bolling, Andrea Tantaros Advance Anti-Choice Fox Lie: Birth Control = Abortion
As the mouthpiece for the America's anti-choice religious right who are opposed to the ACA's birth control mandate, Fox has *consistently pushed their talking point that the ACA covers contraceptives which cause abortions. This view is based on the beliefs of certain evangelical Christians (Hobby Lobby) and the Catholic Church. It is not based on science which has determined that Plan B prevents ovulation and the IUD prevents implantation prior to which, according to the medical community, there is no pregnancy. But rather than address this important nuance, Fox presents, as Fox Fact, that abortion is covered under the ACA. Last week, during discussions about Hobby Lobby, Eric Bolling and Andera Tantaros must have scored lots of "pro-life" points for pushing this patented Fox lie.

When it comes to the Affordable Care Act, Fox News is so desperate to make it a failure that it cooked up a chart showing that six million enrollees are about a third of the seven million that was the March 31 goal. When it comes to Fox News bias, a picture is worth a thousand words - or a couple million enrollees. UPDATED

Over the weekend, Forbes on Fox discussed an EPA plan to protect wetlands could give the government power to make what host David Asman called, “one of the biggest government landgrabs in our history.” He then asked panelist John Tamny to “make your case” to just abolish the EPA overall.
Read moreSteve Doocy, Guest Agree: Godless 'Noah' Example Of Today's Godlessness!
Despite Fox News having declared the movie "Noah" anathema, the movie finished the week-end in first place, having grossed $44 million in ticket sales. But rather than abandoning what seems to be a failed meme, Fox is using this inconvenient box office truth to spin the success of the film into more hell and damnation by recruiting an end times Christian to appear on Fox & Friends in order to preach that "Noah" is an example of today's "godless" society and, as such, is a sign that we are on a collision course with the end times. But not to worry, Jesus, whom we all should embrace, is en route. While that is bad enough, what's even worse is that Steve Doocy agrees with him about the godlessness. True story!

Another Fox News appearance by conservative Lars Larson, another vicious smear that gets a pass from a “fair and balanced” Fox host. In this case, host Martha MacCallum uttered not a word of challenge when Larson used an ethnic “joke” to discredit liberal Leslie Marshall for defending President Obama’s immigration deportation policy.

That there should be NO question as to Fox News being the media mouthpiece for the Christian right is underscored by Fox's obsession about the blasphemy of the movie "Noah" because the word "God" is replaced with "creator." It doesn't seem to be a big problem for the Catholic Church. An article on The Catholic World Report says that "the film is sometimes divisive and divided, but is also deeply serious about Scripture and essential question." An article on "The National Catholic Register," in a detailed analysis of the film, asserts that the "God" thing is "the silliest controversy surrounding the film" because "God is a constant presence in Noah." Yet, Fox's one true right wing religious contributor, Fr. Jonathan Morris, continues to advance "Christian" criticism of the movie. Yesterday's homily, on Fox & Friends, marks his fourth pronouncement of anathema against the movie

As the mouthpiece for the religious right, Fox News provided full support for their whine that the movie "Noah" was bad because the film replaces the word "God" with the pagan "creator." In addition to pimping the oh, so popular persecuted Christian meme, Fox, in alluding to Noah's atheist filmmaker, was able to work in some of their patented atheist bashing. So there was an abundance of rich irony in the banner ad that recently ran across the Fox News website. I realize that, as with any website, the website owners have no say about which ads appear. But still - Hahahahahah.....

Last week, Fox's The Five discussed a blog post by a U.S. District Court Judge saying female lawyers need to “tone it down” in terms of their courtroom attire. Co-host Eric Bolling asked colleague Kimberly Guilfoyle, “If you were in the courtroom would you show your ample chest? Isn’t that what he said? He said ample chest?” There was lots of laughter.
