Newt Gingrich Sounds Like He's Conceding To Romney
On Fox News Sunday today, Newt Gingrich sounded more like a candidate conceding a race than one who's still running in one. As The Hill reported, "'I think you have to be realistic, given the size of (Mitt Romney's) organization, given the number of primaries he's won, he is far and away the most likely Republican nominee,' Gingrich said this morning on Fox News Sunday." Also, after attacking Romney as a "Massachusetts moderate" throughout the primary campaign, Gingrich now says, "I suspect he will accept a solid, conservative platform.”Read more
Mike Wallace Has Died At Age 93
RIP Mike Wallace, father of Fox News host Chris Wallace, and a gold standard for broadcast journalism. My interest in news and media traces directly back to Wallace and 60 Minutes. It's no accident that he won 21 Emmies, the last in 2008, at age 89 (for an interview with Iran's President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad).Read more
Fox News Watch Slobbers Over Palin’s Pallid Today Show Appearance
Yesterday’s Fox News Watch raved about discussed Sarah Palin’s appearance on The Today Show this week. Host Jon Scott opened the segment by saying "Sarah Palin holds her own against the lamestream media. The former Alaska Governor guest hosted the Today show on Tuesday, and she didn't disappoint, receiving generally positive reviews.” Scott didn’t mention Jon Stewart’s very scathing review.Read more
O’Reilly Factor Segment Advises Romney How To Win Back Female Voters
Apparently, the opening segment of The O'Reilly Factor last night, Obama Leads With Women Voters, was just a little too pro-Obama. Because in the second segment, guest host Juan Williams asked both his guests – Democrat Leslie Marshall and conservative talk show host Janine Turner – to advise Romney how to win women back. When Turner failed to answer the question adequately, Williams gave her a do over. Instead of an opinion show, which is what the O’Reilly Factor show is supposed to be, we got “hypothetical” advocacy. From a liberal guest host, no less.Read more
If Only Geraldo Rivera Wore A Hoodie To His Charles Manson Interview!
Geraldo Rivera visited The O’Reilly Factor last night to reminisce about an interview he did with Charles Manson in 1988. Apparently, Rivera didn’t wear a hoodie to the interview. Can there be any doubt that that’s why Manson threatened to send Rivera’s head to his wife “in a basket?” But have no fear. Hoodie or not, Rivera said he threatened to have Manson set on fire. And then boasted about it on The Factor last night.Read more
Fox Business Show Psychoanalyzes President Obama’s “Contempt” For The Supreme Court And The U.S. Constitution
Anyone wondering why the Fox Business Network is not doing very well could find the entire answer in this one segment from yesterday’s Lou Dobbs Tonight. It was an interview in which Dobbs called on resident psychiatrist Dr. Keith Ablow to explain President Obama’s recent remarks about the Supreme Court. It’s crazy enough that such a segment would be aired on a business show. But even more ridiculous were Ablows’ conclusions: that Obama has “some contempt” for the U.S. Constitution and the Supreme Court because his family abandoned him and “let him down” “again and again and again.” Host Lou Dobbs ate it all up.Read more
Trump Offers To Show Us His Penis - If Gloria Allred Pays Him
If Fox News regular Donald Trump has been gunning for the title of “stupidest stunt ever,” he may be happy to know that he has now won it, at least in our book. As some of you may know, the Trump-owned Miss Universe Pageant has been in hot water over the way it handled the discovery that contestant Jenna Talackova is transgender. When the pageant reversed the decision, Trump went on the image-rehab trail - by attacking Talackova and insulting her lawyer, Gloria Allred. But he took it way too far when he called the TV tabloid TMZ Live on April 3, 2012 and said that to prove he was born a man, he would show America his penis - but only if Allred paid him his asking price for doing so. Perhaps he thought it would be an inducement when he announced that Allred would be “very, very, very impressed” with him.Read more
Did O’Reilly’s Hitman Jesse Watters Penetrate Atheist Rally – Or Screw It Over?
Watters Penetrates Atheist Rally: 'Are You Afraid You're Going to Hell?' screamed the headline on FoxNation.com one day last week. After Bill O’Reilly sent his stalker-in-chief – and editor of Foxnation.com – Jesse Watters to cover the atheist Reason Rally in Washington, DC., Watters put together a short video for his Watters’ World segment on The Factor. Some atheists found the video slanted and offensive, and others were okay with it. We present both the Watters’ World video, and an unedited clip of one of the Reason Rally interviewees after the jump. Did Watters’ edit make atheists look silly or was it just some lighthearted fun? We report, you decide! Video after the jumpRead more
Praise God & Roger Ailes! Lee Greenwood Song Back In School Program!!
Yesterday, I reported on the newest Fox & Friends "outrage" over how the elimination of the word God, from the line "God Bless the USA," in a Lee Greenwood song to be sung at a Bellingham MA assembly, led to the elimination of the song from the program. Well praise the lord and thanks be to Roger Ailes, the school has reversed course and will allow the song to be sung, although students have the option to not sing the line "God Bless the USA." (Such blasphemy!) On "America Live," Megyn Kelly informed us that the song was reinstated after it "touched off a firestorm."Read more
OMG, Steve Doocy Is Working On Good Friday
Steve Doocy is a very devout Catholic who was chagrined and appalled by Stony Brook University's decision to no longer cancel classes on Good Friday. He suggested that parents advise their children against attending Stony Brook because of this policy which, according to Steve, interferes with religious duties on this Christian holy day. Given Doocy's religious fervor, one would expect that Doocy's posterior would be affixed to a church pew on Good Friday as opposed to the curvy couch on the set of Fox & Friends. Thus, I was stunned and amazed when I did some morning channel surfing and found Steve Doocy doing his usual wall of genius thing on this morning's Fox & Friends. What is responsible for this calumny - or is it blasphemy!Read more
