Recently, a Jewish rabbi was pilloried by the Christian right (and Fox News and Fox Nation) for having the audacity to say that Tim Tebow provides "fodder to a Christian revivalism." Nowhere is this use of Tim Tebow, as "fodder" for Christian revivalism, more evident than on the Fox News channel which never wastes an opportunity to create a wedge issue in which those who criticize Tim Tebow's public Christianity are cast as evildoers who-would-never-say-this-stuff-about-Muslims. Thus, as part of their vigorous defense of Tebow, his most ardent fans on Fox's "The Five" attacked not only Bill Maher, who had the audacity to send an irreverent tweet about Tebow, they also attacked atheists and pro-choicers who are frequent targets of Fox's godly, propagandistic wrath. But now that a pro-choice group has suggested that Tim Tebow's prowess be used for donations to Planned Parenthood, some on "The Five" are again full of godly Christian indignation towards atheists and pro-choicers. Got a meme? Got hypocrisy?

On The Record did a “Best of 2011” segment last night that began with what host Greta Van Susteren called the “highlights” of the “Road to 2012.” She said, “During the past 12 months, each of the candidates has had high points and low points. Here are some of the highlights from the presidential hopefuls and from those who decided not to run.” Apparently, she meant that literally because the nearly eight-minute segment excluded any mention of the Herman Cain sexual scandals and just about every gaffe that he or any other Republican candidate made.

That “America-loving” website, Fox Nation (just disregard all the talk about wanting to kill Americans) is now attacking Kwanzaa. A recent post “asks,” Who Celebrates Kwanzaa? followed by the comment, “The results of a reader poll suggest that the holiday may be past its prime.” As if Fox Nation readers are in any position to judge. Someone at Fox Latin America apparently thought that asking whether or not the Jews killed Jesus Christ was a good way to drum up interest in an upcoming National Geographic Christmas special.

As you know, over the week-end, during the sacred period when people watch football, eat and drink too much, and open gifts that will get returned during a mad mall frenzy, Bill Maher had the audacity to tweet about how Fox god, Tim Tebow, was screwed (Maher used another colloquialism) by his brother by another mother due to the Denver Broncos humiliating loss to the mediocre Buffalo Bills. For Fox News, this was BLASPHEMY of the highest order. Fox Nation, a place for those who believe in tolerance (not), immediately posted a lede about "Pig Maher's" egregious offense to Tebow and his brother by another mother. Not surprisingly, "The Five's" good and tolerant Christians Tim Tebow fans rushed to Tim's defense and in so doing showered Bill Maher, atheists, and pro-choicers, all anathema to Fox and its audience, with anything but Christmas Christian love.

Once again, those Fox News hypocrites who complain the left plays class warfare jumped at the chance to do so themselves for the sake of swiping at President Obama. In a Special Report segment today that purported to be about “rough economic news,” reporter  Doug Luzader gratuitously mentioned that the Obama’s spent more on dinner last night than most others in Hawaii can afford. Then he immediately moved on to suggest that Republican presidential candidate – and Mitt Romney, of all people - is more in touch.

Fox Nation still boasts about its love for America as well as its commitment to tolerant and civil discourse. Yet the site continues to harbor actual death wishes for Americans. Yesterday, someone posted on a thread about Senator Ben Nelson's retirement, "Just so we're clear. Progressives should be hunted down and beaten to death like any other vermin." Not only has "civil" Fox Nation allowed that comment to remain, the comment has received 7 "likes" so far.

If you fans of THE Fox News Priest, Father Jonathan Morris, are hankering to see Fr. Morris' sweet visage and dramatic jazz hands on his You Tube Channel, fahgetaboutit!  A click on "fatherjonathanmorris's channel" will bring you to a webpage with a stack of TV sets and a message that "this account has been suspended due to multiple or severe violation of You Tube's Copyright Policy." Whassup with that? Has Fox's one true priest been a naughty boy? But fear not, Fr. Morris' inspirational messges about "supply side Jesus" can still be found on his Facebook page and on Fox News. Praise Tim Tebow!

Only yesterday I wrote about Fox legal analyst and Maltese Knight Peter Johnson Jr. and his undying loyalty to the anti-choice agenda of his Catholic Church which is fine as a personal position but not so fine when you're pushing this position on a network that is supposedly "fair & balanced." So, as the "Church Lady" would say, "isn't that special" that Johnson was back for the third installment of his "prescription for truth" regarding how the Obama administration is putting the Catholic Church in an "untenable position" over the requirement that they provide no cost contraception (a Catholic "no-no") to their employees. And funny, Catholic Cardinal Wuerl said the same thing during his Sunday interview with Chris Wallace. Do I detect a bias in favor of the Catholic Church on the "Fair & balanced" Fox News network. Oh, bless me father for I have sinned?

That Fox News is America's premier anti-abortion rights "news" network was underscored, once again, by this morning's Fox & Friends showcasing of a rabidly anti-abortion rights former Girl Scout, Sydney Volanski, who, accuses "the Girl Scouts of creating boot-stomping, sexualized radicals." Volanski's topic was the latest outrage in the right wing world; i.e. that Girl Scout literature referred readers to the evil, librul Media Matters for information on media bias. The Scouts have since removed the reference - something that both Volanski and the Daily Caller are taking credit for. But that topic only served for her soliloquy about the nefarious connections of the Girl Scouts to the ultra evil Planned Parenthood. But hey, the Fox War on Christmas is over for a year and Fox needs its culture wars which, in this case, is a war on Girl Scouts.  And this dovetails nicely with their war on Media Matters and Planned Parenthood!  Don't ya love the sweet smell of propaganda with your morning coffee.
