Crybaby in Chief Donald Trump had nothing more important to do than to attack Fox News host Neil Cavuto last night for warning Americans that taking hydroxychloroquine to prevent coronavirus, as Dear Leader claims to be doing, can be fatal. Yet Fox News has said nothing to defend Cavuto.

Donald Trump probably needed no help from the Russians last week when he handily won our most recent Outrageous Fox Quote of the Week poll with his claim to have been “treated worse than Lincoln.” But, as usual, there’s a new crop of Fox outrageousness to review, consider and vote on after the jump.

Donald Trump just made “Dr.” Laura Ingraham’s day when he told reporters he’s taking hydroxychloroquine to prevent coronavirus. If true, there’s every reason for anyone who cares about him (assuming there is such a person) to be concerned.

Fox News host Pete Hegseth didn’t go so far as to risk his own health and wellbeing by entering the Atilis Gym in Bellmawr, N.J. to show us all how safe it is. But in applauding the owners for violating the state’s closure order, Hegseth postured solidarity with the maskless crowd outside by going maskless himself and while practicing the social distancing he disregarded for everyone else.

Amid growing evidence that hydroxychloroquine caused “significantly increased risk of death for certain patients” and “scant evidence” of its effectiveness, as The Washington Post reported, experts are pushing harder for the government to discourage its use in treating coronavirus. Donald Trump still seems to think he knows better.

Fox News coronavirus expert Eric Trump shrugged off the deaths of nearly 90,000 Americans in order to weaponize the pandemic as some kind of Democratic plot to prevent his father from holding rallies and that it will “magically” disappear after the election.

This morning, Missouri’s Republican Governor Michael Parson slobbered over Donald Trump’s (botched) handling of the COVID-19 pandemic on Fox News. Host Neil Cavuto nicely pushed back.

Tucker Carlson’s white nationalism is disgusting enough but making racial attacks on African Americans Joy Reid and Don Lemon for their concern about black and brown workers being forced back to work in the middle of a pandemic – and pretending it’s because he hates divisiveness makes Carlson especially odious.

It’s tempting to laugh at Donald Trump’s suggestion that former President Obama and Vice President Biden should go to jail, along with other top administration officials, without being able to explain what the so-called crime is, but this is dangerous stuff made more dangerous by Trump’s ignorance and a cable news network's amplification.
