Bill O’Reilly Uses Martin Luther King Day To Play The Racial Victim - Pt. 2
Immediately following the Martin Luther King Day segment with South Carolina Democrat Dick Harpootlian, Bill O'Reilly used the occasion to race bait a second time when he trotted out Senator Jim DeMint and complained, "I don't like this race business."
Read moreThe Weekly Stine: Better To Be Pissed Off Than Pissed On
Once again the perpetual outrage machine that is Brad Stine made his regular Monday appearance on Fox and Friends to rail against political correctness and to prove—once again—there is no topic on which he’s not an expert. It’s golden that everything that makes Stine mad also happens to be a Right Wing Talking Point and/or Fox “News” meme. This week Stine carried water for those who think the marines who allegedly urinated on dead Taliban soldiers are getting a raw deal.

Another Martin Luther King Day used by Fox News to race bait. Last night, Bill O’Reilly used five – count ‘em, five – segments on The O’Reilly Factor to play the racial victim. Not one segment on his show was used to promote the ideals or the philosophy of Dr. King – except as it pertains to white people and/or conservatives.

Read moreOn Fox Nation: Bill Maher Has Returned To "Pig Maher" Status
As I predicted, after a brief hiatus from porcine status, Bill Maher is back to being "Pig Maher" on the lede Fox Nation thread. Given that the thread is video of what seems to be an amiable conversation between Bill and Herman Cain, it's unclear what Republican Rubicon Bill crossed. According to the editorial Fox Nation headline (or use of right wing wishful thinking) Cain "smoked" Maher on job creation. (The sourced article was titled "Cain Interviewed By Bill Maher") So why the return to "Pig Maher?" Oh, right, the seventh grade Beavis and Butthead types who write for Fox Nation love the use of crude epithets and personal invective. Funny, the evil librul CNN and MSNBC blogs don't go for this type of crudity. "Pig Maher?" On a blog for those "who oppose intolerance." Seriously?
Read moreFormer Staples CEO Stemberg Gushes Over Romney, King of Bain, on Fox and Friends
Ever since Mitt Romney’s opponents for the GOP presidential nomination started painting him as a ruthless corporate raider and vulture capitalist for his actions as CEO of the private-equity firm, Bain Capital, the Romney camp has been scrambling to spin that unsavory yarn into wholesome cloth. This morning, Fox and Friends hosted Thomas Stemberg, founder and former CEO of Staples (and originator of the idea of Romneycare, but you won’t hear that on Fox) for some classic Fox News Republican rehab.
Read moreFox Nation MLK Thread Generates Racist Comments
Fox Nation, a blog for those "opposed to intolerance," is obviously an apartheid state inhabited by those who have no qualms about flaunting their bigotry and ignorance. When right wingers whine about being accused of racism, they have only to check out the comments on a Fox Nation thread which commemorates a man who lead a movement in which people, both black and white, were brutalized and killed in the struggle to secure civil rights for Americans whose suffering did not end with emancipation. In reading the Fox Nation comments, it's readily apparent that Martin Luther King, Jr's goal of creating a nation where all people would be respected, regardless of the color of their skin, is a long way from happening.
Read moreMonica Crowley Witnesses For Jesus & Tim Tebow On Fox Business
When you think of Fox News' Monica Crowley, the word piety doesn't immediately come to mind. One wouldn't think that the ever snarling Crowley, who compared Hillary Clinton to Glen Close in "Fatal Attraction" and Barack Obama to former dictator Hosni Mubarak (for deciding not to defend the "Defense of Marriage" Act), was a bride of Christ? But despite her willingness to engage in some rather non-Christian character attacks, she is, as one of Ailes' stable of right wing Christians and Catholics, part of the Fox News Tim Tebow cult that focuses on Tebow's devout Christianity. That's not newsworthy. But who knew that Crowley, who specializes in defamatory comments towards lots of folks she deems anathama (especially Barack Obama), would be quoting scripture and testifying for Jesus and, of course, Tim Tebow who, on Fox, is a god. Can somebody give me an amen!
Read moreHannity And Guilfoyle Pretend They’ve Never Tried To Paint Michelle Obama As An Angry Black Woman
Sean Hannity pounced on Michelle Obama’s recent remarks in which she said people have tried to paint her as “some kind of angry black woman.” First, he and guest Kimberly Guilfoyle developed a serious case of amnesia as they declared they couldn’t think of anyone of significance who had done such a thing – thereby forgetting their own attacks on her in just that way. The other guest, newly minted Fox News contributor Ed Rollins agreed. Then Hannity used that “proof” that Michelle Obama was making it up as an excuse to paint her as an angry black woman!
Read moreFox News Sunday Attacks Romney-Attack Video, King Of Bain
Fox News Sunday spent more than 13 minutes on a segment attempting to discredit the Romney-attack video, King of Bain, put out by a Gingrich-supporting PAC. I thought the Gingrich-supporting guest behind the video, Rick Tyler, did a terrific job of defending the video as host Chris Wallace raised numerous questions about its credibility. It’s worth noting that those questions have been raised elsewhere in the media, too. And Gingrich has quite a lengthy record of false smears. Still, there are plenty of clues that Wallace was not motivated merely by a desire for truth.
