Martha MacCallum Says Most Italian Business Are Corrupt?
Ya gotta love it. Martha MacCallum is an alleged "news" anchor or an alleged Fox "news" show. Not only does she defend GOP talking points; but she makes baseless pronouncements on business ethics in foreign countries. This week, she and Roger Ailes boy toy Fox religion analyst. Fr. Jonathan Morris discussed the Vatican leak scandal which now includes the arrest of Il Papa Benedict's butler. After Morris referenced Vatican corruption, MacCallum tried to establish moral equivalency between the Vatican and the Italian business community. She said that "there's a history of corruption, all truth be told, that exists in most businesses, it would seem, in Italy that there's cronyism, paying off people, you know to get business contracts..." So there you have it. Fox News says most Italian business are corrupt. Questo è un insulto? Wonder if Martha would say the same thing about American businesses? Mamma Mia...
Did Alan Colmes Hit Romney Too Hard For Fox News?
On yesterday's Happening Now, liberal Alan Colmes appeared with his conservative sister-in-law, Monica Crowley, for a debate designed to focus on Obama surrogates straying off the campaign message and/or breaking with it. But Colmes immediately took control of the debate and made it about Mitt Romney. And guess what? The segment ended suddenly, when host Jon Scott was obviously prepared for it to go longer.

Congressman Joe Walsh may have settled up with his ex-wife over the more than $100,000 in child support she had been trying to collect from him but that doesn’t exactly make him a model of fiscal responsibility. As The Hill reported, “(Walsh) had a condo he owned foreclosed on. He allegedly told his ex-wife, Laura Walsh, that he could not pay her child support during his (2010) campaign because he was between jobs, according to her attorneys. But they point out that Walsh loaned his campaign $35,000, and has repaid himself approximately $14,000 of that so far.” But hey, he’s facing a tough re-election fight, so why not go for broke (so to speak) and attack Hispanics as being financially irresponsible? After all, Walsh was on The O’Reilly Factor and he could be pretty sure O’Reilly wouldn’t bust him on it.
Read moreO’Reilly And Goldberg Ignore Fox & Friends Anti-Obama Video While Whining About Media Favoritism Toward Obama
While the rest of the world buzzes about the shockingly biased, Obama attack video aired as news on Fox & Friends earlier this week, Bill O’Reilly and Fox News “media critic” Bernard Goldberg somehow missed the story. Instead, last night they went on the attack against Dan Rather – who had the nerve to cancel an appearance on The O’Reilly Factor the same night he appeared on The Daily Show – and accused the media of deliberately working to re-elect President Obama. Besides the obvious case of projection, the unstated suggestion was that Fox was justified in its brazenly anti-Obama video, given his unfair advantage against the discriminated-against Mitt Romney.

Produce a four-minute attack on President Obama and call it news? No biggie if you're the associate producer of Fox & Friends. TVNewser is reporting that Chris White, the associate producer whom Fox blamed for the propaganda piece, will not lose his job. Color us shocked - not. After all, this is the same network that didn't consider it a fireable offense when one of its news anchors "just asked" whether the Barack Obama campaign had threatened the life of Chelsea Clinton in order to keep her parents from spilling the beans about Obama's birth certificate.
Read moreBill O'Reilly, Laura Ingraham Pimp Pro-Life Propaganda & Praise Lila Rose's "Journalism"
In their zeal to limit access to abortion and destroy Planned Parenthood, the radical anti-choice movement is now seizing on the myth that sex selection abortions are epidemic in theUS. As such, they convinced anti-choice members of the US House to sponsor a bill to ban such abortions. The bill failed. But coincidentally, just before the vote, James O'Keefe protégé and well funded, radical anti-choice activist Lila Rose produced videos which, according to Bill O'Reilly, proved that the US is now following China's one child policy - a ludicrous assertion given that the government is not forcing anyone to have an abortion for any reason. But Bill and his fellow Catholic, anti-choice zealot pal, Laura Ingraham don't believe it and during last night's "Factor," both promoted what's hot in the anti-choice community and that includes praise for the hoax videos of Lila Rose which, according to Ingraham, is such great "journalism" that it deserves an award.

How petty and vindictive can Roger Ailes get? Consider this, via Politico:
An Upstate New York newspaper owned by Fox News president Roger Ailes has cancelled Gabe Sherman's subscription because of his forthcoming book about Ailes and Fox News.
Sherman, a contributing editor at New York magazine, discovered this week that his subscription to the Putnam County News & Recorder, owned by Ailes and run by his wife, had been cancelled. When he called the paper to ask about it, the editor Doug Cunningham told him that because of his forthcoming book, "we don't desire to have a relationship with you."
Read moreO’Reilly Suggests Violence In Chicago Is Due To Immorality In Black Community
Bill O’Reilly hosted Father Michael Pfleger last night – yes, the same Father Pfleger whom O’Reilly and Fox News has relentlessly demonized was there - purportedly as an expert on the high rate of violent crime in Chicago. But it soon became pretty clear that O’Reilly was more interested in lecturing Pfleger about out-of-wedlock births in the black community than he was in any insights Pfleger had to offer for the increased violence.
Read moreHow Desperate Is Fox Nation To Smear Obama? So Desperate It Makes Steve Guttenberg's Criticisms Its Top Story
Steve Guttenberg does not exactly seem to be on Hollywood's current A-List of celebrities. Not unless Mojave Phone Booth and Single Santa Seeks Mrs. Claus were more significant than I know. But he came out with some criticism of President Obama - and voila! it's the top story on Fox Nation, with the blaring headline,'POLICE ACADEMY' Star Rips Obama. Even though Guttenberg also says he loves Obama.
Read morePredictably, Fox News Showcases Former Democratic Congressman Turned Republican
Didn’t you just know that a former Congressman who made a public switch from the Democratic Party to the Republican Party would get a nice spot on Fox News? Especially if President Obama was named as one of the deciding factors? Sure enough, newly-minted Republican Artur Davis got a warm welcome from Neil Cavuto yesterday, where – except for one challenging question from the host – Davis was allowed to speak uninterrupted about all the reasons he made the switch.
