Sean Hannity Joins The George Zimmerman Defense Team And Ditches The Trayvon Martin Case Facts
Just as I predicted, the father of Trayvon Martin shooter George Zimmerman appeared on Hannity last night for a lengthy interview that went beyond softball to outright advocacy on his behalf. Sean Hannity spent much of the 16 minutes decrying a “rush to judgment” against Zimmerman while simultaneously promoting his own obvious judgment. Nobody who knows his history of jumping to defend white guys in racial trouble and race-baiting against African Americans will be surprised to learn that Hannity's main goal seemed to be to prove Zimmerman wasn’t a racist – and to suggest that President Obama and all the black leaders who have taken up Martin’s cause are the real racists. Sadly, Hannity was all too happy to distort and misrepresent the facts as he went along.

Neil Cavuto spoke with Ohio Governor John Kasich to talk about tax cuts, energy policy, Vice Presidential possibilities, and other issues earlier this week (4/2/12). Kasich may be deeply unpopular among his constituents but not on Fox! It was a softball interview from the get go. But Governor Kasich’s last statements, about six or seven minutes into the interview, about the need to “modernize” entitlements and “fix” public education really wowed Cavuto.

Last night, Bill O’Reilly took to his talking points to complain that taxpayer money is being wasted “at a colossal rate.” It's not hard to discern that what he really meant was that it’s the Obama administration doing the wasting. Because while O’Reilly seizes again on that fictitious $16 muffin – with the suggestion that this is what has caused our financial mess – he has conveniently overlooked a huge waste of money caused by the Bush administration: The Iraq War. UPDATED AND CORRECTED: O'Reilly noted that the $16 cost was not for the muffin, alone.

If it weren’t for the fact that Half-Governor Sarah Palin is holding onto her Fox “News” gig by her fingertips, there would be no reason for News Hounds to even cover Her Irrelevancy anymore. However, I suspect that long after she’s dumped by the network following November’s election, if not before, Sarah Palin will still be a punch line on comedy shows. Last night Jon Stewart tried to make sense of Palin co-hosting The Today Show.

The debate between Nick Gillespie and Rosalind Wiseman on Fox and Friends this morning was supposedly about whether there is a bullying crisis in the United States. But was Nick Gillespie, of the Koch-funded Reason Foundation, there to discuss bullying - or was this a smokescreen to hide his agenda of promoting economic and social segregation in the form of charter schools? Updated. With Video.
Read moreSarah Palin Wants Allen West To Be Vice Presidential Pick
Visiting the Hannity show last night, Sarah Palin proved once again how irrelevant she is and how much more irrelevant she soon will be. When asked by Sean Hannity who she’d like to see as the Republican Vice Presidential candidate, she said, “Top of my list is Allen West.” Yes, that’s the same unhinged Allen West who said, liberals, Democrats, President Obama and Nancy Pelosi should “get the hell out of the United States of America,” characterized Democratic support for social safety nets as “the most insidious form of slavery remaining in the world today,” and made personal attacks against Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, calling her “the most vile, unprofessional, and despicable member of the US House of Representatives.”
Read moreAre Three Competing Roger Ailes Books Due To Hit Stores?
According to New York Daily News’ Gatecrasher (Frank Digiacomo), Fox “News” chief honcho Roger Ailes is showing concern over an upcoming Random House book about Ailes and the Fox "News" Channel currently being scribbled by New York Magazine scribe Gabriel Sherman. Perhaps sensing the book won’t be complimentary—because Sherman has already shown a penchant for reporting truthfully on the network, News Corp. and, by extension, the Murdochs—it appears that Ailes is trying to help conservative writer Zev Chafets get his Ailes/FNC book out first by giving him inside access. Who is Chafets? NYDN says:
Read moreBrad Stine Talks Ice Cream, Gets Brain Freeze, Blames Liberals
Is there anything ex-carny, Christian comedian Brad Stine can not blame on those evil libruls who are trying to tear down the country? So far it seems not. Every Monday Fox and Friends finds some obscure story for Stine to run roughshod over and turn into the burning political issue of the day. There is no better example of this than this week’s Weekly Stine™ on Fox “News,” where he turned a playground spat over ice cream vendors that began on a blog and elevated into news by the New York Post, into a Liberal failure and undeniable proof of why Conservatives make better parents for a national so-called "news" network morning show. No, really!

Fox News' Heather Childers - co-anchor of Fox & Friends First and a news anchor on America's News HQ - was just curious, she says, as she asked yesterday for her Tweeps' "thoughts" on the following question: Did Obama Campaign Threaten Chelsea Clinton's Life 2 Keep Parents Silent? Childers got her "curiosity" from a post on the right-wing birther site, GodfatherPolitics.com, which raised the same question. UPDATED. (H/T John K.)
Steve Doocy Plays Perfunctory Atheist Card In Discussing Vanderbilt Non-Discrimination Policy
As protector of persecuted Christians, Roger Ailes does seem to be quite concerned about the non-discrimination policy at Vanderbilt U.There have been at least seven segments on Fox & Friends, all of which were in support of the Christian groups who object to the policy (described as "slimey" by Foxpriest Jonathan Morris) and none of which addressed the fact that the policy was clarified as a result of a gay student having been asked to leave a Christian fraternity because homosexuality, in their belief system, is immoral. Also missing from the Fox "coverage" was mention of a SCOTUS decision which affirmed that educational institutions are not obligated to recognize organizations that do not allow all students to join. The Vanderbilt policy was clarified to require that "all registered student organizations to allow any student to eligible for membership and leadership." As such, the Vanderbilt Catholic group will not be registering as a student group because of its "faith based qualifications for leadership." Naturally, their next step was to go on Fox & Friends where good Catholic Steve Doocy articulated the main talking point for all the Fox & Friends anti-Vanderbilt segments; i.e. that the policy could result in evil atheists taking leadership positions. Oh, nooooo......
