While we don't know for sure (!?) if Steve Doocy is really an idiot or whether he plays one on TV, it is apparent that as Roger Ailes' "attack poodle" he's willing to push whatever right wing memes that Roger Ailes' wants Fox & Friends to "inject into the media bloodstream." One of the top memes, in Fox/right wing world is that the librul media supports President Obama. So it was no surprise that during Monday's interview with the very unpopular (cept on Fox) Wendy Long, who is the GOP candidate running against Kirsten Gillebrand for US Senate, Steve Doocy supported this meme and in so doing showed the amazing cognitive dissonance of those on Fox News. He declared that "It's clear the mainstream media, they're in the tank for the president of the United States. They want him to get another four years." Oh, the irony!

One of Fox News' primary memes is that only Fox News is "fair & balanced," while the "mainstream media" (and Fox is so not mainstream) is biased. Reinforcing that meme, on today's Fox News website, is one of the secondary lede stories headlined, in red letters, with "Bias Alert." Just to make sure you know, without even reading the article, that they're referring to the evil, librul media, icons for major news networks are shown above the headline. The "alert" summary announces - drum roll please - that the - ready for it - "liberal media" is being "challenged" on "fairness" by "conservative activists" who are calling out "deliberate and unmistakable" media "leftist agenda." Upon linking to the article, one reads that these activists are headed by the so non biased (just kidding) Brent Bozell of the right wing "Media Research Center." Can we talk cognitive dissonance?!

Bill O’Reilly’s ambushes need little introduction. Someone can’t (or wont) talk to him, he sends stalker producer Jesse Watters out to get a segment via petty harassment. Well, ol’ Bill opened up a recent segment by saying that since Vice President Joe Biden has “been very elusive” with interviews, it was time to start ambushing him. So Watters was dispatched to Dartmouth College where Biden was speaking.

Although hardly the liberal voice she’s billed as at Fox News, Greta Van Susteren does have her moments and tonight’s discussion with Newt Gingrich had one of them. In the middle of an interview mostly devoted to attacking President Obama and Harry Reid, she suddenly confronted Gingrich over his support for Rep. Todd Akin. 

The Angel of Death in the Form of an American Bald Eagle, wreaking havoc and destruction on your existence? That bit of purple phraseology comes from the pen of Rep. Allen West (R-FL), firebreathing Fox fave, he who once said liberals should get the hell out of the US. It's from a post on his Facebook page, lovingly reposted on the Fox Nation, describing what he would have threatened America's enemies with if he'd been making a speech to the UN today.

Bill O'Reilly's newest addition to his stable of lame sexist male comedians is Adam Carolla. During a recent "Factor" appearance, Carolla "joked" that the HHS policy, requiring insurers, to pay the full cost of women's birth control was like getting free beer. Hardeharhar.  So we know that Carolla has no problem offending women whom he thinks aren't as funny as men. But last night, on The Factor, during a discussion about the appropriateness of "comedy" that mocks African-Americans, he demonstrated that he has no problem with possibly offending an ethnic group. And despite O'Reilly showing what appeared to be some sensitivity towards those whom Howard Sterns mocked, Carolla didn't share that sensitivity when he used a term that could be offensive to Polish-Americans.  He also disparaged a large Los Angeles neighborhood and some of its residents, too. Ann Coulter visited the Hannity show last night where she cleverly denigrated African Americans and their interests by pretending to care about them. Sean Hannity – the guy who pals around with a slavery apologist – was all ears.

Dick Morris visited the Hannity show for his regular Monday night gig last night and continued his wildly optimistic forecast for Romney’s electoral win in November. Normally, Hannity sits politely through Morris’ wacky predictions. But last night, as Morris forecast a Romney win Florida, Ohio, Nevada, Virginia and Pennsylvania and is currently “competitive” in Michigan, Hannity could not pretend to buy it.

Chalk up Eric Bolling as the latest Fox News chickenhawk enthusiastic about the possibility of a new war. On today's The Five, after discussing a Pakistani minister offering a $100,000 bounty to find the filmmaker of Innocence of Muslims, Bolling said, "Maybe it’s time to cut off the aid and maybe send a drone or two right over the embassy."

Megyn Kelly had a mini meltdown when Democratic guest (and News Hounds Top Dog) Bernard Whitman refused to confine his answers to Kelly’s right-wing framing of a debate about President Obama’s decision to appear on The View and not hold meetings with world leaders during the U.N.’s General Assembly.
