The right wing is constantly whining about Hollywood liberals. Yet, there are some Hollywood luminaries who have not fallen under the Satanic spell of liberalism, such as Jon Voight whose views go beyond conservatism into the world of batshit crazy! So where better to espouse these views than on Mike Huckabee's show which provides warm support for whatever and whoever is hot in the whacky world of the radical right. Back in 2009, Huckabee hosted Voight for some down home Obama bashing along with the perfunctory right wing whine about the erosion of our freedoms. Saturday night, Voight was back for more of the same. Too bad there isn't an Emmy for best right wing crazy talk on a major "news" network cuz Voight just might be a winner
Huckabee introduced Voight as an Emmy award nominee who is "really concerned about the direction of our nation is headed." He asserted that Voight "speaks truth to the American people" and praised him for his boldness and perspicacity in predicting things that have come to pass. From that point, Angelina's dad was off and running with his prepared script.
- Lamented that the "great" and "patriotic Dinesh D'Souza "is being "targeted in many ways" because of "aggressive boycotting of his important book."
- Praised his powers of prognostication because his predictions that Obama "would take the country apart" and "cause a civil war" has come to pass.
- Attacked Obama for withdrawing troops from Iraq because Iraq is now being "taken over by the terrorists." Claimed that Obama has said "nothing" about this when in June, Obama said this: "It's going to need more help from us, and it's going to need more help from the international community," ...I don't rule out anything because we do have a stake in making sure that these jihadists are not getting a permanent foothoold in either Iraq or Syria."
- Praised his pal Mitt Romney's powers of prognostication with a statement about how Romney's concern about Russia "has come to fruition" and Obama says "nothing." (Obama met with Putin, in Paris, in June. At present he is "building pressure on Russia's Vladimir Putin to back down on Ukraine.")
- Said Iran is building a bomb to destroy Israael and America.
- Accused Obama of putting Benghazi"under the rug" by blaming the GOP for trying to "find fault with his administration" (Ya think!) and claimed we still don't know truth about Benghazi.
- Blamed Obama for the VA scandal when it began in the Bush administration.
- Accused Obama of allowing "illegals, who are "spreading" TB and other diseases (thank you Todd Starnes) to enter the country in order to benefit the Democrats in the 2016 election."
- Claimed the "Democrat Party" is a "negative force" which promotes "socialist thinking" and which has given young women the wrong ideas about democracy. (?!)
- Attacked Debbie Wasserman Schultz as "the gang leader for wrong information to our young women" by "convincing them that Republicans are stopping their liberties and freedoms of reproduction" - when it's really religious freedom that is "being infringed upon."
- Accused Obama of neglecting Israel.
- Insulted Obama's father as a "Marxist who hated America."
- Referenced the Obama "apology tour" which got a "pants on fire" Politifact rating.
- Accused Obama of "paving the way" for radical elements "to thrive" but cutting back on the military.
- Exhorted the audience to take their country back.
After this 10 minute barrage of lies and propaganda, Christian minister Huckabee couldn't have been more effusive in his praise of Voight's "boldness" in the midst of liberal Hollywood. Bravura performance, I guess!?

Well, given that Jonny’s last four cinematic performances were in
- “Tower Heist” (2011, performance removed from final cut)
- “Beyond” (2012, direct-to-DVD)
- “Getaway” (2013, critically panned and a box office failure)
- and “Dracula: The Dark Prince” (2013; nope, I never heard of it, either)
I guess SOMEONE had to . . .
.
I always love how all people in show biz are part of the “Hollywood elite” whose opinions should be ignored, unless they’re conservatives, then all of a sudden they’re qualified to be governors and even Presidents.
Note to conservatives: if you want to “take back your country,” win an election. That’s how we do it here in the US of A.
