He’s Back... Maybe! Donald Trump “Can’t Rule Out” Running For President

Reported by Ellen - May 23, 2011 -

Donald Trump returned to Fox & Friends, where he announced to the curvy couch crew that since there was nobody in the race as likely to win as he was, he might run for president after all. Two of the three hosts laughed outright at the news but they also did a lot of gushing and suggested that this might mean the return of Trump’s regular Monday visits to the show. Here they go again!

Trump said he thought the two most likeliest GOP winners were either himself or Mike Huckabee. But with Huckabee out, “I am not seeing a lot out of the Republican candidates and that’s a very sad thing.” While noting, “I really believe the right candidate could win,” he also said, “The ones that have announced – I just don’t see it – I mean at this point in time, they’re not going to be beating Obama.”

Brian Kilmeade said, "So you’re kind of saying, Donald Trump, that you would not rule out a late entry if nothing pans out for the GOP?"

"I would not rule it out, no," Trump said. "I can’t rule out anything. The country is so important, it’s so vital that we choose the right person. And at this moment, I don’t see that person."

The other two hosts laughed. They all seemed confused as to whether or not Trump would be back next week for what used to be his regular Monday morning gig. But they did a lot of gushing over Trump at the beginning of their After the Show Show segment (second video below).
