Fox News Libya Special Becomes Venue To Promote John Bolton’s 2012 Presidential Bid

Reported by Guest Blogger - March 28, 2011 -

One of the guests on Fox News’ “Cost of the Clash” special on Saturday (3/26/11), was John Bolton. Bolton was in Iowa where, Cavuto noted, “He’s going to be among the prominent speakers at this Republican presidential hopefuls confab.” But before Bolton formally declares, he’s still got his Fox News gig which pays him to campaign against criticize President Obama. Meanwhile, Bolton’s “potential” campaign got a nice little boost from Cavuto who sounded more like an endorser than an interviewer.

Cavuto said he originally thought Bolton’s run for the presidency was “sort of like a pipe dream, no offense, I love you dearly.” But now, Cavuto said, “I'm thinking with all of the developments that have transpired in the world, and with this sort of deluded cast of potential Republican candidates… you have a very, sort of a credible message… How is that resonating in Iowa?”

Bolton said the President was "absent without leadership in his first two years in office.” He immediately added, “I think we need a real President to protect us internationally. And here in Iowa, where I can say it’s very cold, we’re gonna start having these conversations.”
