Fox News Thinks Glenn Beck More Important Than A Powerful Earthquake In Haiti
Reported by Ellen - January 12, 2010 -
Last week, I posted about how Fox News interrupted Janet Napolitano's press conference on terrorism to air Glenn Beck. Today, Fox News chose not to break into Glenn Beck to report on a 7.0 earthquake that hit Haiti right before Beck went on the air at 5 PM ET. (There was an announcement during the regular news break at the half hour.) According to the New York Times, the quake caused widespread damage and panic in the capital, Port-Au-Prince, a city of 2 million in the poorest nation in the Western hemisphere. "According to several news reports, a large hospital in the capital had collapsed, and people were screaming in streets full of rubble." (H/T Aunty Em)
