News Hounds Recognizes Blogroll Amnesty Day
Reported by Ellen - February 4, 2009 -
Actually, I'm one day late but I'm hoping everyone will forgive me. Many readers may not be aware of yesterday's special significance in the blogosphere but it's the second annual Blogroll Amnesty Day (B.A.D.). The motto for the day is Linkity, Fraternity, Equality. So in that spirit, we'd like to recognize five other blogs deserving attention, especially given that I don't have the ability to update our blogroll.
1. Eyes on Fox News Network: This blog is a excellent adjunct in our never-ending mission to keep abreast of FOX News spin. In addition to appreciating the pungent observations there, we are grateful that at least one of its authors is part of our community, too. We always appreciate his thoughtful, insightful and knowledgeable comments.
2. OReilly-sucks.com: There are some people who are so biased, so untruthful and so divisive that they deserve a website to themselves. Bill O'Reilly fits that bill nicely. Kudos to Steve for keeping on top of The Bloviator.
3. The Daily Censored: This is a new blog devoted to covering underreported news. I'm impressed with the quality and substance.
4. The Mahablog: Blogger Barbara O'Brien keeps a keen eye on the right wing and the media and their role on the stage of world events.
5. NinaBrodskyArt: Last but definitely not least, because even I do not live news and politics 24/7. This is my sister's recent entry into the blogosphere and while I admit to being a tad biased, I think her paintings deserve the attention. Besides, in a world of corporate media, recession, partisanship, endless war and global warming, we all need a little art. By the way, that's me with the black jacket in the Colorado painting.
