Sarah Palin "Packed the Houses" for Saxby Chambliss? They Must Have Small Houses Down There in Georgia

The meme coming from the right today (December 3, 2008) is that Sarah Palin won Georgia for Saxby Chambliss. Chambliss himself was on Fox "News" this morning praising Palin, claiming, "We had John McCain and Mike Huckabee and Gov. Romney and Rudy Giuliani, but Sarah Palin came in on the last day, did a fly-around and, man, she was dynamite. We packed the houses everywhere we went."
This afternoon Neil Cavuto joined the chorus, airing a segment captioned, "Chambliss' Win in Georgia: Proof of Palin's Power?" He too championed the "packed the houses" line with this chyron:
Comment: 3,000 to 4,000 people is packing the house? They must have mighty small houses down there in Georgia. Let's keep this in perspective folks. Don't buy this lyin' spin - spin in the truest sense of the word. Check this out. Now that's what I call packing the house.
