Wall Street Post? New York Journal? Murdoch's papers mingle.

A year ago we began warning that Rupert Murdoch's purchase of the Wall Street Journal could only mean a decline in that paper's quality. Now Politico reports that WSJ reporters are finding their work reprinted in another Murdoch holding, the tabloid New York Post.
Writes Michael Calderone: "Those directly involved in the story, according to sources, had not been informed it would be published in both papers."
Murdoch might hope that WSJ reporting in the Post can elevate the latter's stature, but it is much more likely that it will cast a pall on the Journal. This is more Murdoch degradation of journalism standards and an unhealthy mixing of serious news and entertainment.
