Republican Candidates Avoiding Party Brand
Reported by Deborah - June 23, 2008 -
Dan Springer reported today, (June 23, 2008), on America's Newsroom that Republican candidates in the state of Washington are changing or eliminating the party tag identifying them as Republicans on the November ballots. with video
After a recent poll showed that 53% view the Republican party unfavorably, many candidates have either changed the label to GOP, eliminated it completely or created substitutes like " Yoga and Salmon" party.
Springer noted that Democrats are objecting to the ballot alteration but are secretly happy about the situation.
comment: Why shouldn't Democrats be happy. After years of Republican intimidation and negative branding of Democrats and especially Liberal Democrats, it feels good to see the tables finally turning.
