Dick Morris: Obama Campaign Full of Stalinists

In the first of two segments with Dick Morris on last night’s (6/2/08) Hannity & Colmes, he put forth the theory that a number of Stalinists are working on Barack Obama’s campaign. Then Morris and Sean Hannity theorized that Obama might be some kind of sleeper agent and a Manchurian candidate. With video.
Early in his go-round with Hannity, Morris said, “Obama can’t possibly be elected. So you have a candidate that can’t win nominated by a party that can’t lose and facing a candidate who’s gonna win by a party that’s definitely gonna lose.” It’s worth noting that Morris has a record of faulty predictions. My personal favorite is the one where he insisted that Hillary Clinton’s 22-point lead in her senate race spelled bad news for her.
Referring to Wright, Pfleger, Ayers and others that Hannity has fixated upon, he asked, “Do you think now that the American people will conclude in a new narrative that (Obama’s) not who he says he is and that he, in essence, agrees with these guys?”
“That’s what the whole election is gonna be about,” Morris gleefully forecast. “I was at a Restoration weekend last weekend with David Horowitz... David is a great guy who used to be the editor of Ramparts magazine, the extreme left magazine, who now is a conservative, and he said that all of hia old associates, all of the left-wingers who he knew as a kid are now in the Obama campaign and he rattled off a whole bunch of names. These guys are not Democrats. These guys are (Morris fumbled for the right word) – Stalinist, is the phrase he used. And it gives you real pause.”
A credulous Hannity asked, “Do you think that he has hidden his real beliefs from the American people?”
“I don’t know,” Morris answered, “I think that if he had a 16 year record or a 20 year record, we could look at it and we could judge. As it is, he doesn’t. So we have to look at him and judge. It’s very hard for me to believe that this guy’s a sleeper agent and a Manchurian candidate. On the other hand, you've got to look at it.”
By the way, Obama does have a record, though it’s “only” 12 years long. He served in the Illinois State Senate for eight years and the United States Senate for four. I guess he was hiding his radical views all this time just so that he could hoodwink the American public into voting for him and then next January convert us to a Stalinist form of government.
