Outrageous Quote of the Week returns! 3/15/08

Reported by Chrish - March 17, 2008 -

Outrageous Quotes return! Apologies for the interruption; the respiratory illness going around has knocked a few of us on our hindquarters and we've just been dragging. Last time on OQOTW, Bill O'Reilly had (literally) no competition for saying "I don't want to go on a lynching party against Michelle Obama unless there's evidence, hard facts, that say this is how the woman really feels. If that's how she really feels -- that America is a bad country or a flawed nation, whatever -- then that's legit. We'll track it down."

For this week's pickings, read on:

Option A: "What has always made America unique is that you're free from public service and free to pursue your own life, liberty and happiness." [...] "There's nothing morally superior about becoming a low paid teacher as opposed to a wealthy hedge fund manager." Jonathan Hoenig in a discussion about Michelle Obama urging people to go into teaching, social work or nursing instead of the corporate world, Your World w/Neil Patrick Cavuto, 2/29/08

Option B: "Big loser has to be Drew Peterson....Princess Diana's butler Paul Burrell is a loser....The New York Times is a huge loser....Michelle Obama is a loser,..." John Gibson's final "My Word" column before he and his Big Story were unceremoniously dumped from FOX News, 2/22/08

Option C: "I think over the next three to four months...with Obama and, you know, Hillary just goin' at each other, I think it helps bring the market down. Maybe even to 10,500." Tobin Smith on whether a "long Clinton/Obama battle" will be "good or bad for stocks," Bulls & Bears, 3/8/08

Option D: "Notorious race-baiting columnists Eugene Robinson of The Washington Post and Mary Mitchell of the Chicago Sun-Times couldn't wait to viciously attack Ms. Ferraro. These people you are looking at right now are the American media at its worst." Bill O'Reilly smearing two black journalists with zero context or detail, O'Reilly Factor, 3/13/08

Option E: "Obama & Clinton Bashing Economy: Pushing a Recession?" Lower-third Chyron, Your World w/Neil Patrick Cavuto, 2/29/08

Option F: "Is he committing financial fraud? That is the question." Weather Channel founder John Coleman, who wants to see Al Gore sued over promoting carbon credits in response to global warming, which Coleman denies, FOX and Friends, 3/4/08
