Jim Gilliam up for Maria Leavey Award

"Our second annual Maria Leavey Tribute Award will be presented at Take Back America 2008. The award honors an unsung hero of the progressive movement whose behind-the-scenes work and selfless service has made a big contribution to social justice. The winner will receive an all-expenses-paid trip to Take Back America 2008 to accept the award."
Our blogfather Jim Gilliam has been nominated for the award. We can attest to his incredible work ethic, his generosity, his kindness, his amazing patience with our technical naivete, and his true-blue enormous heart (and those pretty new pink lungs!) We're so proud of Jim and as always, admire the company he keeps.
