Doocy mischaracterizes Hillary Clinton moment; Kilmeade can't seperate TV from reality
Reported by Chrish - October 1, 2007 -
Or, just another day on FOX and Friends.
This morning 10/01/07 Steve Doocy framed a debate question for Hillary Clinton as a "Tim Russert gotcha moment," which would suggest Mrs. Clinton was caught contradicting herself. Actually, she was just at odds with something her husband had said and she blithely dismissed the alleged "gotcha" with a small smile and "well he's not standing here right now."
With video.
Bill Clinton stated the position that the US should have a policy that is uncompromisingly against torture, but if there was a real-life Jack Bauer counterpart he should be prepared to take the consequences, and the consequences would be based upon what turns out to be the truth.
Brian Kilmeade and Gretchen Carlson discussed the hypothetical, both hoping there are real "Jack Bauers" out there. Kilmeade seemed worried that the noble selfless agent would end up in jail after breaking the law to do what he deemed right to save lives, but methinks he'd probably get his own show on FOX News.
This was just a transparent attempt to portray the Clintons as battling with one another.
