John Gibson Protects His Job On The Republican News Channel

Reported by Deborah - September 20, 2007 -

John Gibson, protecting his job on FOX ( Republican) News, has been calling the Democratic Party the "Moveon Party" in his attacks this week. He's been a loyal media foot soldier all week attacking on cue with all the right GOP talking point. Today 9/20/07, after Bush condemned the "Democrat" Party and Moveon and the Senate had it's "symbolic" vote of confidence for General Petraeus, Gibson was ready to roll with his perfectly coordinated commentary.

Here's what President Bush had to say today purposely dissing Democrats by calling them the "Democrat" Party.

"I was disappointed that not more leaders in the Democrat party spoke out strongly against that kind of ad, and that leads me to come to this kind of conclusion: That most Democrats are afraid of irritating a left-wing group like MoveOn.org — are more afraid of irritating them — than they are of irritating the United States military. That was a sorry deal," the president said.

No surprise that John Gibson carried on in his My Word segment saying essentially the same thing coated in his nasty slime.

"This was the Senate's MoveOn moment, an instant for all of us to see who are Republicans, who are Democrats, and who are members of the MoveOn Party. The resolution passed, because Republicans and a lot of Democrats voted for it."

Gibson made sure to support Bush's point that Democrats are afraid of Moveon.

"Remember what they were voting on: Do you support Gen. Petraeus, yes or no. Simple. Their countrymen were saying sure you support him, why wouldn't you. But MoveOn.org made it clear: Don't you dare, and these Democrats showed where they take their orders from: Eli Pariser and his MoveOn Party.

It's shocking really. They voted to confirm him in his job as commander in Iraq, and they couldn't simply say we hope he succeeds and he's a good man. They didn't dare, actually. MoveOn is not to be crossed. These senators were afraid."

Earlier in the week, 9/17/07, Gibson proclaimed a "Triumvirate" between Moveon, DailyKos and Think Progress and also introduced the "Moveon Party" label to his viewers.

comment: On the same day, 9/17, The Big Story became The Big story with Gibson and Nauert. Gibson convincingly claimed that he had worked hard to get Heather Nauert as his co-anchor. So after months of Paris Hilton, Britney Spears and assorted crapola, John Gibson needs to prove he's a valuable player on the GOP team. You go, John! Maybe you can delay the inevitable.
