Bill O'Reilly's Anticipated Moment of Self Righteous Glory Ruined By Keith Olbermann

Reported by Deborah - September 10, 2007 -

Bill O'Reilly must have been looking forward to tonight's Factor after General Petraeus' testimony and the Moveon ad in the NY Times. He prepared for his victory gathering a series of his best ' far left loon' clips to accompany his call for the masses to rise up against the left claiming that this ad by Moveon saying " General Betrayed Us" would bring the tipping point since "critical mass" had finally been reached. At some point today, perhaps while he was calling Senators to denounce the Ad so he could smear the ones who refused, O'Reilly heard the news about his ratings on Friday, 9/7 and everything lost it's luster.

It finally happened. Olbermann's ratings in the 25 to 54 demographic beat O'Reilly's on Friday night. To make matters worse, this was the first Friday Bill-O had worked in quite awhile so he had no excuses. Here are the Friday 9/7 ratings from TVNewser. O'Reilly carried on with his plans probably wondering if Olbermann would announce the embarrassing news on Countdown which of course he did.

Michelle Malkin was there with eyebrows arched high shooting sparks from feverish eyes. Mos Def was the left wing poster child tonight for his comments during Bill Maher's Real Time on HBO. ( Mos Def and Cornell West were great) Rosie O'Donnell, Tim Robbins, and more of the usual suspects were also highlighted with the same tired comments creating a deja vu effect.

When Kirsten Powers tried to dismiss the political comments of entertainers as not important, BOR and Malkin got feisty with her. Powers semed a little shaken by her pal's hostility but, hey, this was no ordinary night.

At the end of the segment he asked cheerleader Malkin if "Americans are going to rise up"? It seems, however, they already rose up with remotes in hand flipping to MSNBC and Countdown.
