Howard Wolfson, Top Dog, puts O'Reilly in his place "with all due respect"

Reported by Chrish - July 25, 2007 -

Hillary Clinton's Campaign Communications Director was a guest on the O'Reilly Factor last night 7/24/07 and more than ably fielded accusations from "independent" O'Reilly about Clinton's upcoming appearance at the YearlyKos convention. Rather than letting O'Reilly smear DailyKos some more, and Senator Clinton along with it. Wolfson enthusiastically praised the community at Dkos, accused O'Reilly of cherry-picking a few comments out of millions, and bluntly told O'Reilly that "the days where you can dictate where Senator Clinton and other Democrats go, who we talk to, are over."
With video.

O'Reilly kept referring to the previously-known comments (he's still upset with the pope being called a primate, with or without a capital P) and added two anti-Hillary comments, one loaded with profanities that he cleaned up for teevee. Wolfson shrugged them off, saying of course there are people who disagree with Clinton and her policies but overall DailyKos is a great community and a great tool for democracy. He remarked that O'Reilly gets guests who say things O'Reilly disagrees with, and O'Reilly drew himself up and said haughtily they are still the dominant cable network, then smiled smugly. Wolfson didn't miss a beat and replied that Kos is one of the most trafficked websites in the country.

O'Reilly used the "drill, drill, drill" tactic, repeatedly calling DailyKos a "hate site." You'll enjoy this one, starting with the Talking Points Memo that offers to differentiate between liberals and the far-left. (Hint: there is none.)

Wolfson gets Top Dog honors for his proud progressive stance and his handling of Bully Billy.
