Radio Interview with Boulder High Student About Petition Demanding Apology From Bill O'Reilly
Reported by Deborah - June 3, 2007 -
Mansur Gidfar and Patrick Garrett, Boulder High School students, decided to take action to defend their school and hometown with a petition asking for an apology from Bill O'Reilly for his brutal attacks. Dan Caplis, Boulder talk show host, became O'Reilly's ally in this unfair attack appearing on The Factor this week. On Friday, 6/1, Caplis asked Mansur for an interview about the petition.
The interview is interesting because Caplis avoids talking about the student's concerns that O'Reilly's attacks were brutal and unfair. Caplis keeps trying to to keep the conversation centered on the content of the forum ignoring the real thrust of the petition.
Even so, Mansur did a fantastic job remaining articulate, poised, logical and mature. At one point, he was accused, during the interview, of having an adult in the background feeding him information. In the beginning, Caplis said he was going to go easy on Mansur because he is 15 but by the end the gloves were coming off.
