"Librarians are hiding something"

Reported by Chrish - March 26, 2007 -

In a discussion with Electronic Frontier Foundation (EFF) representative John Perry Barlow on the Colbert Report tonight 3/26/07, Colbert claimed a trademark on the phrase "Librarians are hiding something" in an effort to demonstrate how personal creativity should benefit the creator, in this case him. Barlow predicted the phrase would be in the commons by tomorrow, so I've got to hurry.

EFF, you will recall, is suing Colbert's parent company Viacom on behalf of MoveOn.org and Brave New Films, who had their "Falsiness" parody short film yanked from YouTube on the grounds of copyright infringement.
